A Missouri teenager is fighting for her life after her skull was repeatedly smashed into a concrete roadway during an after school fight. Video shows a black teenage girl pummeling the child until her body went lifeless.
Fox 2 reports the victim was discovered unconscious in the street near Hazlewood East High School suffering from a “severe head injury.” Watch video of the attack below.
The St. Louis television station also reports that a 15-year-old girl has been taken into custody and is facing assault charges. There is no information on the condition of the victim.
“That video was crazy. It sounded like that girl skull cracked! Prayers to her family,” one concerned citizen wrote on social media.
“Each and everyone who was present and a participant in this matter needs to be charged accordingly. It is obvious and highly apparent, the initiation of this incident never occur in the street and only culminated there. This fight, no this assault with great bodily harm will escalate to a higher charge. Frothing indicates seizures and that strongly suggest critical brain injury. This should have never happened,” another wrote.
Many are wondering if there are racial overtones.
“I’m trying to understand how much RAGE can a kid have to wanna even fight like this,” wrote one person. “Great job parents. Where are these delinquents learning such violence? Stand up and stop it. Teach your children respect.”
The school district released the following statement:
It is a tragedy anytime children are hurt. Bullying and fighting in the community is an issue for which we all need to take ownership and work towards a resolution for the sake of our children. The Hazelwood School District offers our sincerest condolences to everyone involved, and will offer additional emotional support from our support and crisis team to those in need. We look forward to continuing to partner with our community for the sake of our children. Please be kind and respectful of the families involved during this difficult time and pledge to help work toward the betterment of our entire community.

If the young lady survives, she’ll likely have a long road to recovery.
Videoing this and doing nothing to stop it?! I just don’t get it. Pure blood thirsty savagery. With 0 conscience or accountabilty.
If she survives, she’ll be fortunate indeed to not be in a permanent vegetative state and still be able to see. Smashing in the back of the skull like that does serious damage to very critical parts of the brain.

Sure it’s possible, especially if they share the same owner.
But I also went to local LE sites. No confirmation there that the victim has died, either.

Think I read it didn’t happen at school, still there have been cases where people have been charged because the incident stemmed from school.
Watched the video one time. The way her head was swinging back and forth I wouldn’t be surprised if her spinal cord was detached.
People are saying she died, but I can’t seem to find confirmation.
Even if she has not passed away, she will be in a very serious condition for a very long time.................

Sometimes an article will say “critical condition” and it is actually that the victim is being maintained on complete life support while the requisite hours/days of no brain activity are documented, so as to allow turning them off and harvesting organs. Sorry to add sadness.
From report from a Fox station. Someone called the police during the fight, so someone perhaps in the group called for help. Looked to me that no one intervened to assist or stop that portion of the fight. Not sure if the guy who began fighting right after the assault was trying to prevent another attack. Hope cops took possession of cell phones Had the volume on (regret that) and from sounds at least one person knew how serious she was injured.
