I was taught Plane Geometry in 12th grade. Since I couldn’t remember the theorems, I was given a passing grade only because I “aced” the final exam, which dropped that requirement because the tests were graded by machine.

Schoolmates asked if I’d flunked the test because I’d handed in the answer sheet about hour before everyone else!

I dropped solid geometry, as it was “totally alien” to my psyche, but I squeaked through to graduate. Geometry never appeared again in my life’s endeavors.

The Squaw of the Hippotamus
Long ago in a plains tribe, three young men came of age and were to be married. They were sent out into the world with a bow and arrow and a knife to kill an animal the fur of which was to be used to make their marriage bed

Alas, the trader would not part with a blanket for such a minor return but offered a dusty hippopotamus hide that though rough was in fact large enough.

I got ChapGPT to give me a nice proof of the Pythagorean Theorem in n-dimensional Euclidian Space but I found a minor error in it which he accepted gracefully and apologized for.
