Las Vegas sells out of private-jet parking for the Super Bowl — but don’t worry about Taylor Swift
NY Post ^ | 1/29/24 | Michael Kaplan

Getting into the Super Bowl is one thing. Landing your private jet in Las Vegas?

It’s the kind of long shot that no bookie would give you odds on.

The city is officially fully booked for private jets over Super Bowl weekend — with San Francisco tech billionaires among those scrambling to beat the lock-out after the 49ers qualified Sunday night to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Slots at Harry Reid Airport in the city for Sunday night take-offs, to let attendees get home after the match have gone.

Now one percenters are freaking out.

“A colleague of mine owns a hedge fund in New York, he got tickets for the game and presumably spent a lot of money for them,” a private jet insider, who works in the business, told The Post. “I was going to Vegas with him.”

But there was a wrinkle: “They couldn’t find a slot and getting out on Sunday night felt risky. It’s not worth going if you can’t get home when you want to. They decided to leave the jet be and watch the game in New York.”

**SNIP**

The NFL also has some of the slots reserved for teams and owners, a spokesman said.

And there is one expected Super Bowl guest who does not need to worry about a slot: Taylor Swift.

Swift is playing in Tokyo Saturday night, but can make use of Japan being 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas to fly from there and land comfortably in time to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

“Taylor Swift will definitely have a spot through the NFL to land, but not necessarily a place to park,” Michael Giordano, a partner at Cirrus Aviation Services, told The Post.

“Harry Reid Airport”

It sounds like a designated landing area for UFOs.

Lol.

Origin story from 2 weeks ago:

Taylor Swift conspiracy theory suggests she’s a government psyop and we are so confused

Where does the conspiracy theory that Taylor Swift is a psyop come from?

If you’ve been on the internet long enough, you will have heard something about the right-wing claiming the “Lavender Haze” singer was “weaponising” her dedicated fandom to some end or another.

The claims have increased since 2018, when Swift became much more politically active.

When Time magazine named her person of the year in December, conspiracy theorists claimed the only explanation was that the star was a government psyop.

On X/Twitter, the right-wing End Wokeness account alleged the “regime” planned to “weaponise” Swift “just in time for 2024”, adding that if people didn’t find this plausible “you clearly have not been paying attention”.

At the same time, former Trump White House advisor Stephen Miller claimed “what’s happening with Taylor Swift is not organic”. Right-wing commentator and former naval intelligence officer Jack Posobiec wrote online that Swift’s “girlboss psyop has been fully activated” by the Time feature, and on Monday, Mike Benz, a State Department official under Trump, shared a clip from the same 2019 cyber security conference on X/Twitter that Watters referred to in his segment.

Benz claimed Bargar was a “rep from the Pentagon’s psychological operations research firm” who “pitched ‘NATO’s military psyops centre on turning Taylor Swift into an asset for the Western military alliance to stop ‘disinformation’ on the internet”.

How many of those planes belong to celebrities who constantly lecture us about Climate Change?

Don’t be silly. NFL marketing has made so much hay with this story, they are not about to let it end on a sour note with a defeat for Prince Charming.

When you land it looks like something out a scifi movie.
When you take off it looks like something out of the 60’s.

at least back 10 years ago..

‘What are the odds of Taylor crying when KC loses?”

Don’t bet against Mahomes you will be mostly a loser. He is very good.

Anyone foolish enough to watch the game will be “treated” to, I’m guessing, about 150 closeups of Swift during the course of the game.

I’m so old I remember when football was a working / middle class thing. We’ve been priced out. Not that I care - I could watch the game from my comfy chair for free, but it seems I have something else to do during that time.

Swift could have her flight crew land the plane temporarily land at Harry Reid (McCarran) Airport, then the plane could fly to another airport outside Nevada, possibly in Los Angeles.
