I am not sure where to get vitamin and mineral advice particularly ratios. Pcp sends me to nutritionist who is clueless. Osteopathy? Naturopaths?

I have taken D3 for 20 years and have not had any cold or flu or WuFlu in that time. D3 is also very good for clinical depression and manic depression. I have known 3 women to come out of that with D3, including my daughter. One took it for a year before I saw her again.
____________________

D3 is called the Sunshine vitamin and the sunny vitamin. As in it gives you a sunnier disposition. Great testimony on D3 getting rid of depression !!!!

Your D3 levels are easily tested in a cheap blood test for everything else. Before getting your blood tests. Always be sure and verify that the D3 test is included. Or you are wasting your time.

If I met a depressed person I would tell them megadose with D3. To up their D3 levels immediately. 50-100 thousand units at once/ A German doctor does this. After that huge dose you can go to 10000 daily and get your D3 tested every 2-4 weeks. Shoot for D3 test to show you at levels of 75-100.

You can send me Freep Mail to remind me that you are interested in my progress on Lugols/DMSO topically. You can also crush your B12 tablets. Dissolve in 100% DMSO that has 25% water added.

Apply this topically. B12 tablets have trouble getting that B12 through the digestive system intact. This is why people get B12 injections. Also why B12 tablets say to dissolve them under your tongue for sublingual Absorbtion of the B12

I heartily agree with spacejunkie, esp. for multiple prescriptions since big pharma never bothers to cross test.

Also most all of these supplements are in our food naturally so when I do take supplements is sporadic rarely daily except for zinc. Remember mankind has survived and in most cases thrived without doctors and modern medicine.

The worst affecting all our health was due to Rockefeller strong-arming AMA, universities, doctors, etc. into swapping plant-based medicine for petrol-based, basically around the 1930’s when ‘snake-oil’ salesmen were made out to be the boogey-men.

20 years ago I began battling HBP too so I researched the meds - all of which are either derived or synthesized from pit viper venom (who are the snake-oil salesmen!?). This is why it thins the blood! Never took it, no matter how cheap!

I did watch my uncle, former marine, marathon runner decline in just a few years when the VA put him on lisinopril and then with more symptoms even more rx meds over the years.

Good for you on staying away from modern medicine which, no offense to anyone, is pure wickedness. Regarding HBP, I highly recommend magnesium which is your major relaxing minimum and relaxes the capillaries and arteries and veins allowing blood to flow more smoothly. It also causes calcium to dissolve and absorb into the bones, teeth and tissues where it belongs, which also thins the blood. Zinc is your minor relaxing mineral

Go to your GP and ask them to run some blood tests to check for insufficiency in vitamins and minerals. They can then prescribe what you need and the doses you need.

Also I’d keep this meme in mind because your body will piss most of it away if you already have enough.

Last way too many people ignore outdoors/exercise (benefits way beyond vitamin D including better absorption of nutrients - both food/supp) and even just walking barefoot your body WILL absorb many micro-nutrients (needs more testing!). I
will say my nails grow way faster when taking supplements but also when barefoot outside or even just gardening/digging in the dirt.

Thanks - meant to include you in post #106 too.

I mainly started taking zinc due to covid.

Another good freeper informed me if I keep my vit C & D levels up as well as zinc (most easily diminished) then no more colds, flu, sinus infections nor worse respiratory infections.
3 years and counting - 1 sinus infection when I foolishly reverse tested Jan. 2022. Once I was infected these did nothing to speed my recovery (2 weeks - dohh!).

That’s awesome that you’re on the right track of avoiding pharmakeia and going the natural route which is what all our body needs in order to heal itself. To note, magnesium makes 350 other nutrients and systems sync into place, allowing you to absorb all your other nutrients. You will get out of balance on your nutrition when you’re low and mag

I mourn for so many with cancer who only suffer needlessly for lack of knowledge.

Have you heard? No, I’m not a doctor, but I read and research a lot. The medicine below is safe, highly used for decades, even available over the counter at Tractor Supply stores.

Both drugs below fight cancer, inducing cancer cells to commit suicide (Apoptosis).
Experts and researchers continue to find additional uses for these common drugs.

Ivermectin
Fenbendazole

I don’t think I have cancer but I tried Ivermectin, over 10 days 1/4 ounce tube, no noticeable side effects.

I think it’s worth telling people and let them decide if they want to try it. I’d say after 20 years of praying for people like below with cancer, it is the most feared and most often requested prayer request. Also I always pray for miraculous healing first and praise God for so many - though I know not how many were healed.

For me the next big technological breakthrough will be the Star trek/Dr. McCoy hand-held thingie where he’d zap you once to determine where deficient, calibrate it (or did it self-calibrate), then zap you again back to optimal health.

Just become a Google Doctor. Most people are these days.

One person said they had $2000 worth of supplements in their cabinet, and half of them don’t work. Problem is, they don’t know which half.

:)

I’m 81

I’m wise and offer wisdom and personal experience

Vitamins do actually work well in large doses. I’m D3 and B12 deficient absent what I now take. Minimum daily dosages are a farce and meaningless.

I advise large doses of D3 and C to alleviate and or eliminate colds and respiratory difficulties.

I fairly recently learned about B12. I started taking it and then increased the dosage. A problem with being old is lethargy, blahs, and tiredness. B12 ends those and life is more normal. I’m not 25 but maybe feel like I was 55 or at least 65.

I can not say enough about how the B12 has helped me shed the years.

Regarding dosage........ learn by experience. Go to Walmart and buy the bottle with the largest dosage. That is what is selling and what most are taking. Try for say 3 weeks or a month.

Once you gain some experience then you can do internet research and try to sort out the conflicting claims based on what you actually know.

I am not a pharmacist not Doctor and have never played one on TV

Truthfully, unless you have a diagnosed vitamin deficiency of some sort because of a medical condition, you are better off eating a healthy, balanced and varied diet, one rich in multi-colored fresh vegetables and fruits, healthy minimally processed whole grains and proteins including 1 to 2 servings per week of fish rich in omega oils.

At most you may benefit from a multi-vitamin and or D3 but anything more than that, in simple terms, you’re pi$$ing away both in terms of the supplement and pi$$ing away your money.

Your money would be better spent on a healthy diet.

Amen, I’m a huge advocate of ivermectin. I’m also a huge advocate of iodine which also facilitates apoptosis, which is the natural death of abnormal cells. Keep up the good work of spreading the word about the truth of Natural Health and healing. This is God’s intention

My daughter and a woman I know both with manic depression(I don't know what they call that now but 'manic depression' seems to be out of favor) both started taking 5000IU a day. The depression relief was immediate for both. The megadose is what I started with after I had contracted a nasty flu 18 years ago. Everyone around here who had it was out for 3-6 weeks. I took the recommended 900 units per pound of body weight and the flu was gone in 8 hours. Wife also. I proselytize for D3. It seems to be good for the WuFlu, too. FLu/colds are winter phenomena because it is too cold to go outdoors with shorts and short sleeves. I take 5k daily but double up when something is "going around."

5k keeps my blood levels just under the line and the only bad (maybe) effect when I take "overdoses" regularly for a while is loss of appetite. I lost the belly I have been carrying around for a few years. I don't miss it.

So what is your B12 dose? There are so many options these days. Even a Liposomal Vitamin B12 Spray

I started with a morning 5000 iu under the tongue dosage.

I later added a 1,000 iu morning dose when I was traveling. The B 12 decreases tiredness and keeps me sharp. My current assignment is 160 miles away and about an hour on site and return.

Some how, I learned that B 12 in some people effects neuropathy. I had swelling and fairly severe numbness in my feet and calf when I wake. I started taking another 1,000 iu time release pill at bed time. Although I still have a little foot numbness in the morning it is very much reduced. I have a close friend who did not get relief from the numbness with B 12 but his wife did.

I learned that B12 is taken by Vegans because they get almost none in their diet. I learned that those little bottles for sale at all convenience counters are mostly B !2. Also, Red Bull and the M drinks have very large B 12 content. That means B 12 might be considered Go Juice. One of the B12 extended relief pills exceeds the bottled stuff and is mega $ less expensive.

For me, B 12 makes me normal. I can do my job, drive say 300 miles, work around the yard and house and not experience what I called the Blahs. Tiredness, No energy, Lethargy, old manishness are just gone.

But I am not everybody. My suggestion is to just try it starting at 5,000 iu /day for a week or two and just see what happens. There is all kinds of pro and con crap out there and it is very difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff.

My experience tells me you will probably feel better and will not feel worse.
