That was exactly my first thought.

Local fishers scrambled to collect the fish, fearing their carcasses would lower the oxygen content of the water as they decompose and damage the marine environment. BS, they're collecting them to sell at the market......LOL!

The report appeared to link the phenomenon to the release of treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The outlet noted that dead fish had begun washing ashore almost four months after the plant began discharging the water – which contains small quantities of the radioactive isotope tritium – into the Pacific. The International Atomic Energy Agency approved the plan, stating in a safety review that discharging the water would have “a negligible radiological impact on people and the environment.” China, which opposed the release and imposed a ban on Japanese seafood, has been accused of hypocrisy since its own nuclear plants routinely pump wastewater with higher levels of tritium than that found in Fukushima’s discharge.
Someone's not telling the truth about their radioactive discharges.

Everyone in Japan should carry a Giger Counter. There's only one number on a Giger counter. He's Number 1 in the creepy sculpture genre.
Now a Geiger counter? That's a different story.

I remember reading about the plan to release the fushashima water into the ocean and thought then that it would bring on disastrous results!
To: Red Badger
Red tide, it effects the oxygen level in the water. Fish will swim up onto the shore.

Send the dead fish to Vietnam to be used to make nuoc mam. Or just till the fish into farmers’ fields.
