I usually think Gaetz is a grandstander himself.
Not this time. He nailed every single point, and we know that's true by how shrill and loud the Money Honey got.
They’re both actors working for the same team.
And then Mark Levin spoke and DESTROYED Gaetz.
Gaetz is right about Macarthy like Republicans. All show and no go. Until we see some kind of real results from all the hearings and investigations. I stand with Matt.

Gaetz doesn’t have to kiss anyone’s ass. Do you know his Congressional District. Likely the most conservative one in the House, and they love him.
All he is demanding is for McCarthy to keep his promises. What’s wrong with that.
Anyone who knows the first thing about negotiating is that they are never settled until the very end or shortly after the expiration of the agreement.
Gaetz knows the Democrats will cave if the Republicans stick together.
Maria Bartiromo just wasn’t expecting Gaetz to have such a powerful argument.
Impeachment achieves nothing, but the Inquiry has the potential to obtain more evidence for public consumption.
Subpoenaing Hunter accomplishes nothing with this additional evidence as he will plead the 5th and whine about "on-going investigation".
As for the budget, the shutdown accomplishes nothing. The deal McCarthy had would have the largest budget reduction in the last 40 years. It involved the use of Continuing Resolutions, which provided opportunity for improvement.
Gaetz is neither hero nor genius in this move. Just another self-promoting cog who refuses to take yes for an answer.
It’s the House of Representatives one job a year that’s required. Big failure. It’s embarrassing especially since they took a four day vacation and won’t be back until Tuesday. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if the republicans lose the house next year. One dang job to do and a big fail!!!!!
With four seats and no senate or president, it will be a negotiation at the end. Probably another CR to get through 30-days.

Bush needed money for his GWOT. If he wanted it he needed to sign what they put in his desk. He did and it’s been that way ever since.
Pres Trump asked for a budget and negotiations every year. He was ignored. They gave him his tax cuts and money for the military. But they also funded all their BS.

At some point, people must take a stand. I don’t know if this is the right time or not, but if not now, when? In a sane world we would cut 2T from the budget (deficit), secure the border (the law), and rein in the bureaucracy.
None of that will happen with the deal. If I am in debt for more than my annual salary on a credit card is it “good” that I only add $900 to my balance instead of a $1000?
Just honest questions and no snark intended..... I don’t know the answer to this one but I do know that we have had this “fight” many times with the GOP claiming victory yet the deficit still explodes and now it is getting worse.
The past victories appear to be lies because nothing has changed and I believe that is Matt’s point. It’s groundhog day.
We can’t trust the Republican wing of the Uniparty. WHEN Trump is back, we’ll need him to do as much as possible by executive order. If the Congress and Court’s don’t like it, Trump can just dare them to do something about it. But, with tens of millions of PATRIOTS on Trump’s side, what could they do?
If it comes down to it, Trump could just fire the top two or three layers of Pentagon brass and use the God-fearing, America-loving troops to enforce his constitutional, presidential authority.
Matt won’t be back on Fox anytime soon.
