Like most, I am saddened, shocked, and take no joy in the scary attack on Paul Pelosi, but I must ask, will his wife, Nancy, support his alleged attacker’s immediate release with no bail? California’s 2018 law, SB 10, according to California Courts:
Senate Bill 10 (Hertzberg, Stats. 2018, ch. 244) authorizes a change to California’s pretrial release system from a money-based system to a risk-based release and detention system.
SB 10 assumes that a person will be released on his or her own recognizance or supervised own recognizance with the least restrictive nonmonetary condition or combination of conditions that will reasonably assure public safety and the defendant’s return to court.
Moreover, if, as reports indicate, David DePape is mentally ill, then shouldn’t we just get him counseling, especially if this is his first offense?
If San Francisco locks DePape up pretrial, why would he be treated worse than most other alleged criminals in San Francisco? And shouldn’t that concern the ACLU and all people of good conscience?
Where I live, in Illinois, come January 1, unless he was deemed a flight risk, he would be released under our (unsafe) SAFE-T Act. Remember, it's called "equity" and progress, right?
The tragic irony is the defund police and bail reform crowd "led" by Pelosi now has a new poster boy: DePape.

Yes I think there is more to this story that we have not been told.
Now we hear reports that the police were called , and when the police arrived , they saw the perpetrator take the hammer and start hitting Mr Pelosi with the hammer. The police were there to witness the assault.
So what’s going on here ?? Clearly the police had been summoned before the attack happened.
In other developments , CNN was talking about violence against political figures, and trying to tie this into January 6th.
I suspect the “welfare check” call, was actually Pelosi triggering some kind of panic alarm. Its probably a confidential security measure, that the authorities don’t want to talk about..
That being said, I believe there is more to this story.

I think it depends on if the attacker will go with the official narrative: Paul Pelosi was asleep in his own house. And then this maniac bypassed every house alarm, located Mr Pelosi, and attacked him.
That narrative is, of course, hard to believe. But if the attacker goes with it he’ll be okay. He might even get a few bucks for his trouble.
My thought as well. There is a whole lot more to this story than they are saying. They are trying to figure out how they can blame it on the Republicans before the Mid-terms. Where was Herschel Walker?

I was watching CNN and MSNBC and they were saying this was caused by Republicans and insurrectionists.

Crime is not effectively illegal unless one of the elite becomes a victim then the book gets thrown at the poor innocent criminal.
