While we never thought that the coronavirus pandemic was engineered to soften us up for harsher climate lockdowns to come later, we did note that our ruling class was watching our reactions to its repressive rules to see how far it could go the next time. Today we’re alarmed that “the next time” might be here soon.
In November 2020, we said we were afraid that the country was being conditioned to just take whatever is dished out by power-hungry officials, elected and unelected, and were troubled that Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, could say “now is the time to do what you’re told” with minimal condemnation and no demands that he be fired.
Nearly two years later, it’s clear that our concerns were justified.
We find the evidence in a Sept. 14 World Economic Forum document topped by the title “‘My Carbon’: An approach for inclusive and sustainable cities.”
The report says there have been “significant developments” over the last five to seven years “on social, environment and technology fronts that could help realize” the goals “for shaping the future towards smart and sustainable cities.”
Example No. 1 was the public response to the pandemic lockdowns.
COVID-19 was the test of social responsibility – A huge number of unimaginable restrictions for public health were adopted by billions of citizens across the world. There were numerous examples globally of maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, mass vaccinations and acceptance of contact-tracing applications for public health, which demonstrated the core of individual social responsibility.
Are we misreading the intentions of the World Economic Forum? Unlikely. Read the entire document. It’s impossible to not come away with the stomach-churning feeling that the WEF saw in the pandemic lockdowns a model for climate lockdowns.
Never give it the benefit of the doubt. This is an organization that trains politicians and activists to follow the progressive playbook to remake our world not through cooperation between liberated people but coercion directed by those who wield the power of government.
It has told us we will own nothing and like it, that it’s determined to establish a “fascist economic model” and recalibrate “a whole range of human rights that are playing out online,” including “freedom of speech,” and is working toward eventually tracking our carbon footprints. It aims to push through the self-empowering “Great Reset,” which reminds us far too much of Mao’s “Great Leap Forward” and not just in name only.
The WEF and its soldiers have made a fetish out of “democracy,” but as soon as they can manufacture an “emergency,” such as the ginned-up fears of man-caused global warming, even that goes out the window. The elites who make up the organization’s leadership and its trainees who’ve been spread across the world in positions of influence and power flat-out want us to be their slaves, doing what they tell us when they tell us. End of rights, the end of individuality, one big socialist, global government. The WEF believes not in economic freedom but an economy centrally planned for the entire globe. Another phrase for that is “economic tyranny.” ....

1. They didn't stop the spread of COVID.
2. They were an disaster from an economic standpoint.
3. People were so quick to adapt to the lockdowns that government and business leaders can't get them to "get back to normal" no matter how hard they try. People who have been working productively from home are refusing to go back to their offices. Consumer spending habits have changed permanently, destroying many businesses and some entire industries. Commercial real estate is a time bomb waiting to explode right now.
When I look around today, I see a lot of this sentiment among perfectly normal people: "I don't GAF what my government and/or my employer tells me to do anymore."

You can scare people with health problems and appeal to their sense of mortality, and even then, half the people didn’t want to buy into it.
There will be significant protesting and ignoring of lockdowns if they try to push it based on fantasmic abstract assertions about “climate”, and there will be widespread unrest if they try to enforce it

NOTHING will shatter the myths and assertions about climate change, and particularly CO2, faster than making it a real, serious, and continuing state of emergency. The shadowy control over the MSM will need graduate to full orwellian censorship if that happened.
They already set it up here in the US in 2021 with the passage of H.R.794 - Climate Emergency Act of 2021.
All BidenIdiot or whomever after has to do is declare a climate emergency. The thought processes for climate lockdowns are already in place as well.

The Climate control promoters have tunnel vision. They never mention the environmental impact the massive volcanoes that have erupted recently. The Tonga Volcano pumped an estimated 58 billion tons of ash and vapor into the atmosphere in January 2022 which is effecting global weather now but nothing is being mentioned. It was so strong that it literally shook the planet. World wide drouths are now in play but no Climate scientists ever mention this enormous event and its repercussions.

I laughed when Tucker Carlson came right out and said that COVID and the associated COVID lockdowns was not about public safety, that it was about submission and compliance.
