‘Bad management usually causes that’: McDonald’s manager arrives at 4am for breakfast shift. No other workers showed up

A video of a McDonald’s manager revealing no other employees showed up at 4 a.m. for the breakfast shift went viral on TikTok.

Brandon (@ragestreamer93) is reportedly a manager at McDonald’s. He posted a video of how no employees showed up at 4 a.m. The video features the TikToker giving a tour of the empty store as he reveals that it was 6:15 a.m. and nobody showed up.

Brandon reportedly arrived at 3:30 a.m. to prepare for the day. At his store, employees are supposed to arrive at 4 a.m. so they can open at 5.

“I’m not sure if you noticed but right now it’s 6:15 in the morning,” Brandon begins, “the McDonald’s I work at, employees are supposed to get here at 4 to open at 5. Well, I don’t know if you just noticed, no employees.”

Originally, two employees and a maintenance man were supposed to clock in, and each hour, a couple of employees were due to show up. With each passing hour, no employees come in, all of them no call, no show. By 6:15, Brandon is livid as only he and the maintenance man were there to serve breakfast, fuming that he had to do everything by himself, threatening to write them up.

Brandon posted in the comments, “No one walked out/quit, they were bluntly 3hrs late! The GM came in around 6:15 to help me for a few hours.”

The video has been viewed over a million times since it was posted July 15. In the comments, TikTokers found themselves divided, with some criticizing Brandon.

Haven’t seen that. We Still have guys who jump out and stuff the contents of our cans into the back of the truck’’or at least onto the arm that tips them. That’s heavy work, too.

Just fire them all, then run the restaurant on drive-thru only until you get new, better employees.

Spitting on the McGriddle Burgers must’ve lost its appeal.

Time was if you didn’t show up without notifying your manager, it was grounds for termination. I stopped by a Del Taco yesterday to do a re-inspection. The drive through was open but the dining room was locked shut. Sign on the door said they were short staffed. Every business owner like never before complains to me how hard it is to find good workers.

WTH??? In 1986, I worked at McD’s for $3.35/hour, which was then the national minimum wage.

I went to a Burger King a while back and only the drive through was open because they were short employees.

Why are most boat owners Trump voters?

Because the Govt. doesn’t give you a boat. You have to earn it.

Gee. I wonder why?

Let's see, capitalism encourages hard work by rewarding it.

Socialism discourages hard work by sharing equally the rewards of work, if any.

I wonder if the employees of this establishment see themselves as capitalists or socialists?

If the "culture" of the employees is "socialist," a hardworking employee would be seen as an outcast, but a lackadaisical, indifferent employee would be held in high esteem.

Yep. My nephew is an RN, worked in the emergency room and ICU just about his whole career. He was supposed to supervise interns at his hospital. They would all walk out together for lunch without telling anyone, all take breaks at the same time. Of course this left patients without coverage, and there were times when nobody knew that they were gone or where they went. They just flat out didn’t care.

My nephew tried to fire some of them, but his supervisor wouldn’t let him get rid of anyone. He eventually quit and took a job as a supervisor at a hospice, got a big payraise and regular work hours (and the place didn’t tolerate goof-offs).

And gas was about $.86 per gallon. A dozen eggs cost about the same.

This is a preview of what will happen when the government is supporting all the people who don’t want to work - it will provide them a confortable income and many privileges, taken from those whose value system tells them that they should work and not take.

We’re almost there. Government looks at your gross income, and declares that that is your income. Of course it’s not what you take home. Huge deductions cut it down. Nevertheless, you are listed as earning a good salary.

The lazy indolent live-off-the-government democrat pot-smoking maggot infested slob has an official income of zero, but actually takes home a lot of money. Some have calculated it is about 40 thousand a year. Since his official income is zero, he is eligible for countless other benefits. He doesn’t have to own an alarm clock, or go to work every day.

At some point, the folks start to realize that they do better not working and collecting money from the government. We’re practically there now.

It's not just a work ethic, or lack of it, it's that the internet and smart phones have opened peoples' eyes to what others do and ask themselves, "what am I doing this for? I can't afford to live here, I was born with debt I didn't incur, and each day only more gets dumped on me. My money is being stolen via inflation while homeless people and foreign invaders get more perks than I can even earn. "

Our government borrowed $60 billion dollars, claiming it for Ukraine, only to give to U.S. companies who send their work overseas, all while the debt will be paid back by U.S. taxpayers. Nice racket if you can get in on it. President Trump was the only one who gave a damn and both the Democrat and Republican half of the Uniparty conspired to steal an election from him and from us.

Does anyone really believe the government is forcing taxpayers to pay for bike lanes nationwide for "green" causes and health? They're determined to have an underclass that can only a afford a bicycle to get to work.

Wait a minute. Where are all those 40 million illegals who were supposed to do the work Americans wouldn’t do? Are they all on the dole, fat and happy?
