That was a slogan of the 1960s anti-war movement. Now it’s becoming a reality, at least for the United States Army, as recruiting woes mount. The problem is a simple one: Not enough people want to be soldiers — and with reason.
The Army’s No. 2 officer told Congress Tuesday that the service has no choice but to reduce total force strength by 10,000 for the fiscal year starting in September, with the next year looking even bleaker: By the end of fiscal 2023, it could be up to 28,000 soldiers short of its 476,000-troop target. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth’s spokeswoman said it’s met only half of its recruiting goal so far this fiscal year — with just 2½ months left.
Why is this? There are several potential explanations. One is that the new “woke” Army isn’t all that appealing to the kinds of people who traditionally join the military.
As Jeff Groom writes in Spectator World, the Army has waged a culture war, and it’s a quagmire: “Imagine you are an eighteen-year-old, white, Christian male in Georgia with a family history of military service. As you progressed through your teen years, you watched Confederate statues being torn down and military bases being renamed, endless media and elitist demonization of your culture as racist and deplorable and backwards, and military and civilian leadership that thinks diversity and inclusion (i.e. fewer white men) is best thing since sliced bread. Would you volunteer? Identity politics works both ways.”

The amazing thing is that they are surprised by this.
This loss of soldiers does not detour them from vaxing, firing and transing.
It’s all to weaken the nations military to prepare for an invasion imo. China has big plans for their colony America. They can have a full takeover in a few years

They have elevated trannys to the highest echelons of the military. They have lowered training standards to allow women, or womyn, to become elite special forces operators. They have woketard generals declaring outright support for queers. The greatest fighting force in the world is being systematically destroyed by faggots, and it is considered hateful to say anything about it.
I wish that were the reason. But people have their pick of jobs and pay today. There are so many jobs available to the American people that joining the military isn’t as attractive. Just wait a year or two when the jobs disappear.
AND...there are those who are leaving. My grandson will walk away in September.

The military has displayed a hard hatred and bigotry toward Christians and rural whites.
The one possible benefit that the regime will surely misplay. If we have to reduce our forces we have plenty of fat to cut. Get us out of NATO now. This pointless, for America, alliance should have been reformulated without us 30 years ago. It is an incredibly destabilizing force on the European continent today and has been co-opted by the EU and DC globalists. Save those trillions and get out before NATO starts WWIII. The Biden regime will most likely continue concentrating scarce forces there.
That was a very effective slogan because it implied that the Marine Corps didn't just take anybody. You had to earn the title Marine by proving yourself worthy of being one of those "few good men."
Nowadays, there are no such standards. Even if you like to wear your sister's pantyhose and makeup, you are welcome to join and your drill instructors may even be forced to address you as "Ma'am" in boot camp or any other silly pronoun you want to be referred to as.
No real men would want to sign up for that.
Then on top of that, you have the COVID vaccination requirement. It's a wonder they can find anybody at all to sign up these days.

Hopefully they see the irony of a having a female Army Secretary explaining the reason they cannot recruit the historical backbone of the fighting military, white men, is that the new Woke military discourages their numbers for the sake of diversity. Get rid of her and you are on your way to solving the problem

I actually think that’s the main reason. Our family has a somewhat recent tradition of military service, dating back to WW II. No one is planning to go into the military today.
It has nothing to do with trannies or any of the other woke nonsense. It has everything to do with not wanting to end up on some hill in Central Asia fighting for nothing.
Don’t worry, the southern border invaders will eventually become new recruits, “doing the jobs Americans don’t want to do”. Think it is a coincidence (from what I see) that 80% of illegals are young men?
