Thailand legalised cultivating and consuming cannabis this month, reversing a hard-line approach of long prison sentences or even the death penalty for drug offences.

I beg to differ respectfully of course

I knew a group of ex Vietnam vets who had a huge op from Thailand to Portland and the Bay Area and north Georgia

Barges and 707s

They paid the right people as Thailand works

Late 70s till early 90s when an ocean barge got tagged in Portland I think with 40 tons

Their stuff was usually 20 pound sealed bags thick ply with nitrous injection

It would stay fresh for 18-24 months though it never stayed on the shelf too long

Granted todays super grade American indoor is twice the potency but this was sensebud

Seedless

Probably mid teens thc

Serious weed for then

Jamaica and Belize also had sensebud but Jamaica was less quality usually

Colombia tried seedless and moved on from redbud and gold bud but it was less impressive

Belize garifuno and mennonites grew very good weed

But could not produce quantity

Not easily

Mexico still does not in my opinion

Cartel weed or zona bud is in my opinion even though very cheap not worth it

Couldn’t give it away here in the south

American indoor is the best

I have a family member in a legal state grows weed assayed at 29-32%

And folks come from dispensaries in northeast and Chicago and pay him 2-2200 a pound which is damn high today but they legal retail for 350-500 a zip in store

What’s killed weed biz just happened

Oklahoma went all legal

Cheap permit to grow and no plant count

Okies are awash in herb

And it’s made folks in NorCal and SW Oregon simply quit

You can buy surplus herb there now for 600 for a box

Same deal six or seven years ago was 3200 a pound

Price of herb will be eventually be determined by the taxes not cost of production and nobody will grow indoor too expensive

I bet all those orchid growers around carpenteria California have stopped too

It’s like CBD growers here in tennessee

A mad rush to grow it then a glut and now nobody grows it

I’ve been around this since 1971 and always wondered what legalization might look like

Well here we are

Sure took the business out of it

Thailand grows weed for tourists and locals maybe that’s why they lag quality wise?

Man you could get hammered for pot there once if not protected

Crazy world

I wonder if Thai weed in 70s ever was actually opium dipped

Never felt like a Percocet to me honestly

Urban legends about weed can be mighty tall talk

You have a Thai wife?

She shouldn’t be surprised. Anutin Charnvirakul hasn’t been pushing for ganja legalization so he can roll a blunt. I’m pretty sure that he is making some big bucks from this.

This is great news. Thai prison is pure suffering . I’ve had a few relatives in that predicament, so I know

Nothing better than a good Thai woman. A bad Thai woman, in the other hand...

If your lady likes rock, here's a song she may enjoy, called Amazing Thailand (by a group called Taitosmith)
