Trump Had Every Reason to Endorse Dr. Oz

The reaction by some to Donald Trump’s endorsement of Dr. Mehmet Oz in the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania seems a bit over the top. I mean, I get it on some levels: Oz isn’t great on the issues, isn’t a conservative rockstar (as if Pennsylvania produces any), and is an unknown commodity in electoral politics (see Trump, Donald J., circa 2015). But everyone needs to take a deep breath and understand that Oz is 10 times better than former hedgefund CEO Dave McCormick. And in Trump’s mind, maybe 50 times better.

I doubt that McCormick would win the primary, and that has everything to do with Oz. With Oz in the race, Bartos stood a good chance of being the last candidate left standing. Its an open question whether or not he could beat Conor Lamb, but Lamb isn’t going to win the Dem primary, Fetterman is, and Fetterman is likely too extreme to win the general election. Trump did hurt himself with this, but as a result Oz stands a chance of winning. I don’t doubt that he can beat Fetterman in the General, so its a bit of a wash really, so long as Oz isn’t really tv Oz. Time will tell.

I don't live in Pennsylvania, but if I did, I wouldn't vote for creepy leftist Dr. Oz.

Trump and I disagree on this point, no big deal. He never listens to me anyway.

I have no problem with the endorsement.

> Trump’s continued horrible judgement on hiring and endorsements shows that he is still being advised by idiots and losers and that Trump has not learned one damn thing from his failures. <

It pains me to say it, but there is a lot of truth in what you wrote there. For some reason, Trump has difficulty making course corrections. It’s a real pity because in some respects he was the last, best hope for the country.

If you don’t think Trump is a People Man...something is wrong with your thoughts. That’s what he’s about.

Had Oz not have run, I think we might have actually ended up with Senator Fetterman.

There are 2 women running that i would vote for , before that liberal OZ. Kathy Barnette and Carla Sands both are excellent candidates. I refuse to let someone pick my candidate for me. Even if it is Trump.I can do the research all by myself and the wizard
from OZ is not it.

Why would I vote for Trump if he continues to endorse/hire people like Oprah's quack, who will undermine his (and by extension, our) agenda?

This just seams idiotic to vote for that.

Yup. I always wondered what a zombie apocalypse would look like, now I know. The whole idea that Trump of all people is some super-hero like man, who works behind the scenes with his Justice league of dead folks (only fake dead) to save the world is ridiculous, words fail me.

I will never vote for a Muslim. Period. Got that?

McCormick is not an option either. People act like these are the only two running. Take a close look at Jeff Bartos.

odawg :" ..He has not said a word about the Shanghai lockdowns currently underway."

Actually, I support neither candidate; but I will support the primary winner.
Agreed that the public statement may have been from two years ago, but that was the only public statement that I have seen on the matter.
Dr. Oz has national name recognition, but I consider him as a Hollywood liberal physician.
I realize that he is not an immunologist, nor a virologist but he was then commenting on a viral infection and control.
I am not white-washing history, but has he issued any other, more recent public statement to clarify his current position ?

If the quacks in the PA. senate and congress don’t fix the election fraud ,it will be Senator Fetterman.

Whatever makes you think Oz will be loyal to Trump?

Did you completely miss 2016-2021?

1 supports Chinese style lockdowns

2 supports children at any age practically getting surgery to transition

3 is a Muslim

4 is apparently a rising star in the WEF

Th3se are some huge red flags. They aren’t just minor differences. Folks slammed Trump for pushing through Kavanaugh, and gorsuch and Amy, but they were kinda unknowns on some issues, and they later turned out to be not so great. But they didn’t support the kind of crap Oz does - He is anti second amendment also I beleive.

There has to be a better choice out there.

The only reason Oz and McCormick decided to run in Pennsylvania is because they see it as low hanging fruit.

Both of them are carpetbagging frauds. Neither of them are native Pennsylvanians. They know NOTHING about PA issues.

The “Alabama” section of PA will not vote for a foreign Islamist. It just isn’t going to happen. The two woman candidates or Bartos will be far better opponents against Frankenstein Fetterman than Oz.

I say again, the GOP will sweep the Pennsylvania election cycle this November EXCEPT for the senate race (if Oz is the nominee).

“Dr.OZ said that he supports the Chinese method of ‘quarantine/total lock down’ to contain covid,
as the Chinese are doing now in Shanghai.”

FALSE! Oz DOES NOT SUPPORT LOCKDOWNS.

Keep in mind: Whoever wins will most likely go against John Fetterman. As it stands, I think he will fool enough Republicans to win the election trying to be a “different kind of democrat”. He will be more Schumer than Manchin.

Fetterman is known chiefly for devoting himself and his office to legalizing pot. If he gets a national platform you will be looking at someone more along the lines of Buttigieg only not gay.

What Trump says is all I need! He’s right more times than he is wrong. He says Vote for this guy or gal—I will do it! Where he leads, I will follow on the ballot or battlefield. I am loyal to My President—Donald Trump! Few men earn my respect—Reagan did, now Trump! All “Never Trumpers” can go jump in a lake as they ty to muddy the waters with this lie or that. Heard that song before—bought the album—when I voted for Mittens Romney—Never Again! Trump all the way! and if he should fall, Then his son!
