Hank Williams American recording artist; songwriter, country music singer Mary Jane Thomas, wife of country music star Hank Williams Jr., has died, Fox News Digital confirmed.
Thomas was transported from Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa in Jupiter, Florida, to a local hospital around 5 p.m. local time Tuesday, where she was pronounced dead, a spokesperson for the area’s police department told Fox News Digital. Reports about her death differ about Thomas' age. She was in her late 50s or early 60s.
Williams, 72, and Thomas were married about 30 years. After meeting in 1985 at one of Williams’ shows in Washington state, the pair tied the knot in 1990.

I was house sitting for a song writer in Nashville one summer, back in 1985.
I came home one day and there was a recording on the phone. It was Hank Williams, Jr. He said “I’m drunk down here at Scooters bar again, can you come get me?”
I didn’t go. I didn’t know where Scooters bar was. I had visions of a drunk Hank Williams, Jr throwing up in my car. And Hank wouldn’t have had a clue who I was if I did show up.
I’m guessing this is not Hank III’s mother?
She was undergoing a “medical procedure” in her hotel at Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa. Sounds like maybe a botched cosmetic surgery.

She was my brother’s ex-sister-in-law (he was married to Mary Jane’s sister Angela Thomas). Katie (then about 2) was the flower girl at their wedding. Mary Jane was there, but Hank declined so as not to distract from the nuptials.
I think HWJR lost a daughter a son-in-law in a vehicle accident a few years ago.
