SpaceX emerged as the federal government's preferred aerospace contractor during the Trump years, and the aforementioned leaked emails outline a concerted effort by United Launch Alliance, a chief SpaceX competitor jointly owned by Boeing and Lockheed Martin, to sour SpaceX's relationship with the Biden administration.

The document itself included photos of Musk with President Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, claimed that Musk "has had some controversial opinions about the coronavirus pandemic," and contained a lengthy section detailing Musk's staunchly anti-union past.

"This is very helpfull!!!!" Solomon wrote in response. "I will be meeting with the White House Public Engagement staff next week & will raise our concerns with Elan Musk & his anti-labor company."

Boeing can’t make it, so the only play they have is trash the competition.

This is how crony capitalism works - smear your competitors with the current political boss by pointing out their friendliness to the last political boss. You're the one who kisses up to the current political boss, so you deserve the contracts. Performance, pricing - irrelevant. What matters is how well you smooch the wrinkled, senile butt of the current president.

There is no competition to SpaceX. ULA is a Dinosaur. ULA is a bloated bureaucratic org. that is stuck in the past. It has no tolerance for innovation. I know. I was an Independent Contractor they hired to work with Honeywell Space Systems on the Emergency Abort System for their latest rocket launch systems for Orion. I witnessed that antiquated, bureaucratic behemoth up close and I had no doubt whatsoever they were incapable of competing with SpaceX. Currently, there is No Competiton for SpaceX so, they resort to smears.

I don’t know how closely you all have been following things in Boca Chica but the Starship 4 / Booster 20 stack has been sitting on the launchpad, waiting for static testing, after which, if all checks out OK it will be ready for it’s first orbital test flight. It COULD happen in a matter of a couple weeks, but.....

It could be a few months or even as late as next summer.

Why, you may ask ?

The Federal Aviation Administration is making SoaceX jump through all sorts of bureaucratic hoops to get it’s launch license. One of the major hoops ? The environmental impact statement from SpaceX concerning how the company is going to effect the environment by it’s launches. The FAA, yes, the FAA is concerned about the Sea Turtle population on South Padre Island.

Trust the CommieCrats to have their priorities in order.

—” Boca Chica but the Starship 4 / Booster 20”

Thank you, interesting.

My interest is FSD (I WANT IT), and Musk leads the pack.

IMO the wind changed when Musk told California to pound sand with their covid rules and the pressure has increased since the joe the jamoke moved in.

On the automotive sites, the anti-teslas had the feel of short-sellers. The tone of conversation seems to have changed, the long knives are out.
Yes subjective, and this article pulls the curtain back, just a bit.

And I have to add...
A relative worked deep in the W Bush campaigns, never said details, but techniques and tactics sometimes.

The Musk attacks fit the lower-level patterns mentioned.
