She had legs up to here!
Like millions of other people around the world, I followed April’s story and I fell in love with her.
She had beautiful, soulful eyes, was gentle with her keepers, and was a good mother to all of her babies.
It’s sad to hear that she has died.
In the wild 10-15 years. In captive management 20-25. I have followed her since her pregnancy that captivated so many.
But June-know, at leasfinished the March.
That’s Life, that’s what the people say
You’re riding high in April
Shot down in May...
Heard it hung itself
Inaccurate headline. She was killed.
Another covid-19 fatality, no doubt.
She was 20. Life expectancy is 26.
I’m in tears.
I personally like Mercola’s joint formula. Works for me.
So he death isn’t completely out of the expected band, but she could have lived longer. Is it normal for them to have calves at age 16?
Oops, I shouldn't give AOC any ideas...
She was 20. In the wild giraffes live 10 - 15 years. In captivity they may live to 20 - 25.
Not guilty ...
Her arthritis has gotten worse since last year and they made the humane decision to euthanize. April has been exceptionally well cared for, I couldnt tell you if having calves at her age was normal or not. Her care team did decide to put her on birth control after her last one.
They will get Taj a Girlfriend and let him continue the species. This park does great work, we love taking our Granddaughter there.
Yes. She brought the miracle of life to millions.
Giraffes live 10-15 years in the wild, April was 20. Captive Giraffes live between 20-25 years.
