The couple were killed at a phony car sale that was arranged on letgo's website
Kyree Brown, 18, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder
Brown allegedly stole a Toyota RAV4 and posted an ad for it on the
website
Joe responded to the ad and arranged to meet Brown with his wife to buy the car
The couple were carrying $3,000 in cash when Brown allegedly shot them dead
He took the money and fled before trying to burn the stolen car A funeral service was held Monday for the couple who leave behind 5 children
The two cars parked up at the address and Brown got out of his car and went to the driver's side window of the Roland's vehicle, the affidavit states.
Brown told authorities he pointed a 9mm handgun at Joe while the couple were still in their car and demanded the money.
Brown said Joe grabbed his arm and the car started moving, the affidavit states.
The suspect intentionally shot Joe before accidentally shooting Jossline, the arrest affidavit claims.
Brown then allegedly grabbed the $3,000 cash from the car dashboard, jumped back in the stolen vehicle and fled the scene.
He then tried to burn the car by pouring gasoline on the seats and setting it alight, authorities said.
Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting just before midnight and the Rolands were rushed to hospital.
The couple died within five minutes of each other, CBS Denver reported.
Police tracked down Brown by finding the letgo listing on Joe's cellphone.
Brown had used a fake name but used a Gmail account that detectives were able to link him

This is why a couple of conservative friends (non-Christian) of ours switched from a pro-life stance to a pro-abortion one that includes donations/support for Planned Parenthood. Brown told investigators he drove to meet Joe at the mall but when they arrived he told the couple he had accidentally brought the wrong car title and asked them to follow him across town to an apartment on East Cornell Circle.

The murder victim was attempting to buy the car to resell it at a profit. I guess he needed a second driver and brought his wife along.

I always go shopping for very popular cars at 20% of the going market rate at midnight with $3,000 cash.
Not excusing the thug or the murders. But this was JUST PLAIN STUPIDITY.
It doesn't add up. NOBODY goes to a parking lot at midnight to buy a car for way below market rate with $3,000 cash. Except for the fact that the thug had a stolen RAV4 to sell, I'd think that they were there to buy something else.
And his life is supposed to matter more than the Mom and Dade of five that he shot and killed!!!! This is total insanity!!!
Especially a 2017 that’s about 3 years old. Nearly new vehicle like that should fetch a lot more than $3,000.
