Joseph and Jossline Roland, 39 and 40, were shot in Aurora on August 14
The couple were killed at a phony car sale that was arranged on letgo's website
Kyree Brown, 18, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder
Brown allegedly stole a Toyota RAV4 and posted an ad for it on the
website
Joe responded to the ad and arranged to meet Brown with his wife to buy the car
The couple were carrying $3,000 in cash when Brown allegedly shot them dead
He took the money and fled before trying to burn the stolen car A funeral service was held Monday for the couple who leave behind 5 children
The two cars parked up at the address and Brown got out of his car and went to the driver's side window of the Roland's vehicle, the affidavit states.
Brown told authorities he pointed a 9mm handgun at Joe while the couple were still in their car and demanded the money.
Brown said Joe grabbed his arm and the car started moving, the affidavit states.
The suspect intentionally shot Joe before accidentally shooting Jossline, the arrest affidavit claims.
Brown then allegedly grabbed the $3,000 cash from the car dashboard, jumped back in the stolen vehicle and fled the scene.
He then tried to burn the car by pouring gasoline on the seats and setting it alight, authorities said.
Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting just before midnight and the Rolands were rushed to hospital.
The couple died within five minutes of each other, CBS Denver reported.
Police tracked down Brown by finding the letgo listing on Joe's cellphone.
Brown had used a fake name but used a Gmail account that detectives were able to link him

No doubt. I would advise all white folk to avoid all unknown blacks like they're the plague. Meeting them at 11 p.m. with 3k cash in your pocket is pretty close to suicide from my perspective.

True. I didn’t say I agreed with those folks...just that it kinda shocked me and made me stop & think about their change in position on the issue. FWIW, we have a lot of black friends. They are hard-working, decent folks that were brought up right.

IIRC, there was a big hail storm in the Denver area in 2017, that damaged thousands of vehicles. Some owners pocketed the insurance money, rather than use it to repair the vehicle - as a result, there were (and probably still are) hail damaged vehicles for sale all over town, some at very low prices...

No mention of prior convictions, or outstanding warrants? I didn’t read the article to find out, as I guessed correctly just what most of you didn’t even need to guess. So, all that being said, I think it has been previously mentioned in the thread that it is stories like this that can make it difficult to have a Christian attitude toward those of certain shades of color. Perhaps rather than thinking ill of all, a bit more heightened situational awareness would be the order of the day.
That’s a good point; probably in the section where you click “I agree”. They would still have legal issues serving as a fence for stolen goods; the mutant who committed the murders then turned and listed the stolen car again (and that helped cops catch him).
