Wearing a mask cuts own risk of novel coronavirus by 65 percent, experts say
Fox News ^ | July 8, 2020 | David Aaro

"We've learned more due to research and additional scientific evidence and now we know [that] not only wearing a mask prevents the person wearing the mask to transmit to others, but wearing the mask protects the person who's wearing it," said Dean Blumberg, chief of pediatric infectious diseases at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. "So the wearer of the mask, even the standard rectangular surgical masks...will decrease the risk of infection by the person wearing the mask by about 65 percent."

It works,

it doesn’t work.

It works.

It doesn’t work.

Might as well be picking daisies to decide.

Well, depends on where you live. Are you in Wuhan, or Fargo? Those are the two extremes, but I think you get my point.

LOL!! I don’t listen to anybody but myself. I had a mother and father. They’ve been dead for years. The government isn’t my parent, and never will be.

"there has never been a single vaccine for any coronavirus."

This is true, and it means there is a concerning lack of knowledge and experience in creating one. But the main reason there hasn't been one is that has been no reason to make the effort until now. There was substantial progress on SARS-CoV-1 vaccine in 2003, but funding and interest ran out as that outbreak was controlled.

There is a vaccine for canine coronavirus of the intestinal type.

They’ve never made one for the extremely common canine respiratory coronavirus because it’s just kennel cough that self-resolves in a week.

OK, so those who are fearful/careful can wear their masks and get substantial protection. Those lloke me who are sanguine should be able to go out and about and live our lives.

How can a person be forced by any business or government entity to wear a mask (which affects the respiratory system) without having a physical exam by a licensed doctor who approves such an action?

Any government official compelling the use of a face mask should be arrested and jailed immediately for medical malpractice!
