NASCAR just released a photo of the garage pull rope that was fashioned into a noose at Talladega.
Yep. Just checked DU and they are all over it as “proof”.

Nowhere near the 13 loops that would make it a noose. Looks more like a snell.
When I was a kid, some other kid taught me how to tie a hangman’s noose. I thought it was the coolest thing. I was tying every piece of rope I could find into a noose. It all stopped when I hung one of my sister’s dolls from the light fixture over our dining room table. My dad saw it and sat me down for a serious talk. My whole perspective changed.
Something like this may have occurred in these NASCAR garages. Maybe it was some bored mechanic or kid practicing his knot tying skills.
We used to tie nooses all the time just for fun.
Learned how in Cub Scouts.
Sometimes a noose is just a noose.
I've seen 2 different photos, supposedly from 2019 of this garage.
This one doesn't look like the other one.
BTW, I grew up in a "White Privilige" area where there were absolutely no blacks.

I have heard and seen people write that NO ONE would do this unless out of hate! REALLY?!? If it has been there since BEFORE this race, can anyone think of an INNOCENT REASON for it to be there?
I can think of a couple with #1 being that the cut rope was too long when it got installed. Either you make a big but neat knot or you end up with a piddly-assed small length of useless rope to throw away. #2 would be that someone just tied the knot FOR FUN and practice(?). There have been times when I have tried to make that knot with string, just to see how it worked. I assure all and sundry that there was not the slightest lynching thought anywhere in my mind or house.

Yeah, I heard the same stories from many here about the NFL, yet the sport made a huge rebound last season with fans. And that rebound did not come from the SJWs. NASCAR will likely end up the same way after a period of time. Far too many conservatives just can't be bothered to make sacrifices in their own lives for a principle.

We need to gently work on folks we know, convince them to spend their time with their families or friends instead of subsidizing people who hate them and want them dead.
Maybe the culprit was considering the size of the guy’s brain and adjusted accordingly
I recall the hangman noose had 13 windings. This guy must have been in a hurry.
Was it not reported that someone who first saw the “noose” cut it loose and took it to the NASCAR office there at Talladega???
If so, that picture is of the replacement rope and was tied like that after the fact...
