Yeah, I heard the same stories from many here about the NFL, yet the sport made a huge rebound last season with fans. And that rebound did not come from the SJWs. NASCAR will likely end up the same way after a period of time. Far too many conservatives just can't be bothered to make sacrifices in their own lives for a principle.
We need to gently work on folks we know, convince them to spend their time with their families or friends instead of subsidizing people who hate them and want them dead.
I have no crystal ball, but I think that is apples and oranges. Locally and regionally, stock car racing has been on the decline for years, as well as interest in all things NASCAR post-Dale Sr.
NASCAR has been advancing political correctness enough that a lot of people are not going to need much of a shove to find another outlet for their time and money. It is one thing to serve up a steaming plate of 24/7 Danica Patrick, quite another to do what they are doing now.
I hear ya. Last season, I started relaxing my stance on the FNFL. I did limit myself to only watching some games that featured the Packers.
What with the crap that has taken place since the end of that season (No, I did NOT watch the Idiot Bowl) I am right back with my full, unadulterated and totally committed severance of ties with them and NASCAR. Looks like I will also be freeing up my time on Saturdays as well. College football is also going to shiite.
On the plus side, I will now have more time and money to support companies like Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, Remington, Mossberg and so on. I KNOW that they won’t let me down.
