Thanks!
And thank you.
“Zoonotic” doesn’t really help in classifying!
Anyway, thanks for the informative replies.
Just your description of her injuries gives me the shivers. And not a good time to be at the hospital. A neighbor of ours gets sores and then neglects to take care of them properly. “I’m supposed to change the dressings each night, but then I’m tired...I’ll do it tomorrow” type thing. He had to spent some time in the hospital and rehab after he let it go. And is now done with his 2 week quarantine at home.
Although it seems the female race is better about doing what the doctor orders! Sounds like she is recovering so that is good.
Reminds me of that saying “God never gives us more than we can handle. God must think I’m a real badass!”
Things are as well as to be expected, everyone is healthy so that is the big thing.
And thank you very much for your offer!!!
“I see there is a new sect of the FluBros- the ones who claim that their Constitutional rights have been violated by quarantine, and they want to file lawsuits over it.”
It’s because their world has been turned upside down and they don’t like it.
And because they are ignorant of the law.
I just tell them “you go ahead and do that, see what happens”
Ukraines border guard service say they have seized 300,000 medical masks and respirators being smuggled out of the country.
They raided an outlet in the Ukrainian state of Kharkiv and apprehended the suspects who are believed to have been selling medical masks and respirators at artificially low prices [ to buyers in Spain and China].
The Ukrainian government put a ban on exporting anti-epidemic goods including masks, on March 11 to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Johnson & Johnson think they have a vaccine - human trials in Sep?
“Now it’s a matter of time and hard work”.
Chief Scientific Officer at drug company Johnson & Johnson, Dr Paul Stoffels, says they want to start human trials of a potential coronavirus vaccine in September.
The US pharmaceutical giant is working with its government and investing a billion dollars in research.
It eventually wants to produce a billion vaccines and says it would sell them on a non-profit basis during the crisis.

LONDON - DATA CHANGING
The number of deaths in the UK from Covid-19 is set to spike tomorrow with new stats revealing a broader picture of the cost of the virus.
The expected rise in death total will come as the government releases stats which include those who died from the coronavirus when not in the hospital, who are currently not included in NHS England statistics.
Figures currently record the number of people who have died in a hospital only, and have so far reported 1,228 deaths across the UK from the virus.

They expect to take ‘weeks’ to get ready.

I know you hate videos, but sometimes there’s good info within
from 4:30 - to about 5:20:
it’s proposed that each death = $10mil economic loss to the economy per death x worse case scenario of 2 million dead = $20T cost of economic loss to US. (Less deaths would reduce the economic cost proportionally)

Worldometer did an after the fact adjustment to the March 31 (now yesterday) US death figure—some of us thought they had missed some data:
US deaths, March 31 only: 912
I keep telling the “Constitutional Rights” gang they need to call a lawyer to bring with them when they get into an argument with a cop or a National Guardsman....lol....
The one day UK spike (written about several times in this thread) was a statistical anomoly because the UK decided to do a one day catch-up on CV deaths at home.
Statistics are meaningless in the hands of people who have no proven track record of understanding all elements of the data they are reviewing.
That is what I was suggesting with my “toilet paper” sarcasm to some of the “chart people” who deposited their waste product on this thread.
There will be lots of single day or a couple of day zigs and zags in numbers—and they will mean absolutely nothing.
Interesting article on class action lawsuit against the Spanish government for being negligent by supporting the womens’ marches on March 8:
Apparently they hid their CV numbers for three days prior to the marches in an attempt to “keep everybody calm”.
