Just wondering - what people are watching (TV, movies, videos) during this crazy time.

Never posted a vanity before. Sorry if not done correctly.

Watching Midsomer Murders with Amazon Prime. Love Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, but don’t want to pay. My cats enjoy watching the videos with me.

You can now get free access to the Sling Blue package, which normally costs $30 a month. It'll let you stream more than 45 live TV channels, including CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and Bloomberg TV.

The offer ends on April 5.

On Thursday, the streaming service launched the special promotion to encourage users to stay at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

I tried Amazon Prime, it turned out to be a massive disappointment as usual. Either the (usually older) titles I want to watch are unavailable, or they require a premium cable acc't (if I had that, why would I have Prime?), or they just cost too much (too much is any amount more than zero).

You’ve got months to build it. This is the new normal and somehow it is shocking to say that the generation who got us through WWII would not like to see what has happened to America this month.

Rewatching Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour, Father Brown. Love them! Considering rewatching Midsomer Murders (Tom Barnaby, the classic episodes), Poirot, the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes and Time Team next. Mainly on Britbox and Prime.

Watching Silent Witness on Prime - never have seen those before and I’m not a fan, just watching.

My next movie will be 1917 and I am re-watching the Sopranos.

Stay away from the media and news if you want to keep sanity.

Thanks for the heads up. Been listening to McGee for years on the radio. Never thunk to look for his videos. I'll have to do that. I'll check out those other guys, too.

Other faves are John Crowder and Andre Rabe. Not really sermons though. More like commentaries.

I’ve been watching my neighbor Steve.

He had a shovel and a trash can with a bag in it.

He was scooping something up and putting it in the trash can.

I decided I didn’t want to watch this.

I turned on the tv and there was Pelosi.

Same thing as what Steve was doing.

I went back to watching Steve.

He’s prettier than Nancy.

My sister ADORES murder mysteries too.

So far, I haven’t been moved to watch them - but who knows as time goes by what I will go to.

Stargate SG1 has 10 seasons - I bought the videos of all 10 seasons. It is a fantastic series, even if you don’t like SciFi. The interaction between the main characters is so well done and you watch it evolve over the 10 seasons. I am a big fan of Richard Dean Anderson - he and Amanda Tapping have this great romance during the 10 seasons.

Unfortunately Richard Dean Anderson chose to leave the series after eight seasons and the last two seasons are just not good, IMHO, with his absence.

I overlook the SciFi stuff and concentrate on the characters. GREAT for Binge watching.

Some people might enjoy this youtuber - he does a sort of comedy sketch regarding pitch meetings for movies. It's good for a chuckle or two when you need it:

The very earliest Honeymooners. Ralph/Gleason is actually svelte....no fat jokes at this point. The first skit with Norton has a reference to Princess Elizabeth from 1952. She wasn’t Queen yet til the next year.
