The reports say that the shot guy is ‘stable’; I hope that’s so, and that they’ve both learned a good lesson.

If they didn't have drinking problems before, this could turn them into elkies.

I *knew* it -- you *were* the guy watching me from the mirror. Whoops, I mean, me either.
I dont even believe that it is outside at all; everything we perceive is entirely subjectively perceived. I think we just manage to see enough of the same stuff, from the same rough perspective, to keep the world - and the illusion - going.
That's a very interesting take on it!

I guess I’m just ‘interesting’ like that.
(But none of it is original, so -
Good Night! :-)

This thread is making me reconsider where and when I wear my camo hunting jacket when I go fishing or hiking or camping in cold weather. I love it because it is very warm without being too bulky / uncomfortable, the material is “tough”, it has numerous great pockets, and if it gets a bit soiled, nobody really notices if I stop by the store (etc.) on the way home. (In this area, nobody really takes note of the camo itself, much.)
I already don’t use it in any active hunting area.
Now, perhaps what I should have done was grab a couple of the bright(!) orange “Halloween” / Jack-o’-lantern t-shirts in XXL that Wal-Mart was blowing out for 58 cents ea. (58 CENTS!) a couple days ago. Slip one over the jacket in some cases. There’s no way anyone could identify THAT as a deer... I hope!
Granted, that would make most of the pockets harder to get to. Still, it’s a humorous and cheap “solution”. I actually did get one in “L” for working out by the road running by our place, esp. in fall, but it’s not large enough to go over me in a medium-heavy jacket...

I had on a red vest and an orange knit cap and had an idiot shooting at me - I could make him out clearly and he was in camo....can’t fix stupid.

Could this be a way to get away with murder? Not saying this instance is, but I wonder if it has ever been tried.
