I grew up in O'Fallon, Illinois.... but 34 degrees(with the wind blowing) is now damn cold to me.
In other words, I am now a cold weather wimp.

a good friend of mine from N.C. was whining today that it was colder in Charlotte than in Colorado ... and he’s correct, though a few weeks ago we did have early VERY cold weather here that broke historic records for cold ...
right now we’ve got balmy days in the mid-50’s, but that’s actually not terribly unusual ... winter on the Front Range is no where near as brutally cold as most people think, though in January and February it can get REALLY REALLY cold for 2-3 weeks ...

I am on a sailboat in the ICW in coastal North Carolina, trying to get south.
We don’t have a heater on board, so, we are running the propane oven until bed time (we have too much ventilation right now).
37 with a 20 kt wind blowing on us. Rather rocky.
