a good friend of mine from N.C. was whining today that it was colder in Charlotte than in Colorado ... and he’s correct, though a few weeks ago we did have early VERY cold weather here that broke historic records for cold ...
right now we’ve got balmy days in the mid-50’s, but that’s actually not terribly unusual ... winter on the Front Range is no where near as brutally cold as most people think, though in January and February it can get REALLY REALLY cold for 2-3 weeks ...

I always check the Fairbanks temp before complaining.. it’s 23 this morning right outside of Charlotte. 11 in Fairbanks.
Winter comes every year and I still act like its the end of the world.
Maybe next year I will take up a winter sport. Like starting the day with a spiced rum hot chocolate.
My professional life might suffer though.
