The Top Ten Evilest People of All-Time
American Spectator ^ | April 5, 2019 | Larry Alex Taunton

Have you ever wondered who the evilest people to ever walk this earth are? Adolf Hitler always seems to be the go-to reference in such conversations. It is a difficult thing to quantify. Do we do it statistically — that is, according to who killed the most people — or should it be based on their evil influence on history? My list relies on both. Of course, it’s totally subjective, but those making the Top Ten might surprise you. So, starting in reverse order, I give you a list of people who will make you feel better about yourself:

10. (tie) The Kims: Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, and Kim Jong-un

This is quite possibly history’s worst political dynasty. In addition to starting the Korean War that killed 3 million people and their refusal to officially end that conflict, this grandfather-son-grandson trio has created one of the most repressive regimes in the world. Without the protection of a meaningful constitution and the Rule of Law, citizens are frequently starved, beaten, imprisoned, murdered, indoctrinated, and forced to worship the Supreme Leader. At least North Korea serves as a nice answer for millennials who ask, “Dad, what was the Soviet Union like?”

9. The Sanhedrin of Jesus’ Day

Somebody from the Bible should make this list, and while there are a number of fine nominees, I decided it should be the majority of those who were members of the Sanhedrin in Jesus’ day. Why? Many who reject Jesus as the Son of God do so because they didn’t see his miracles or hear his teaching. By contrast, the Sanhedrin saw and heard both. Rather than believing in Jesus when they saw him perform miracles, their hatred for him grew.

And every single one of them thought they were the good guys - acting benevolently on behalf of an oppressed people, using much the same rhetoric to justify their actions that we hear out of modern politicians.

In Mongolia,Genghis Khan is considered a hero. The country's main airport is named after him.

I was pleased to see Margaret Sanger at number 2. She was/is a first-class demon (what else could she be?) and destroyer of people and society. And is Hitlery’s self-admitted mentor. Enough said on these evil ones.

They forgot Pol Pot. While the number of people he murdered is comparatively small his ideology and methods absolutely earn him a place on the list.

The problem with a list like this is it is too small (10) to be productive. Evil walks among US daily. The longer list could be in the millions.

You beat me too it!

Though one could argue that wasn’t her intent. Perhaps the people to really blame are the western politicians who gave her nonsense power. Also there is the public who allowed themselves to be stampeded into accepting her as an environmental guru!

Rachel Carson. With her help in banning DDT, she condemned millions of Africans to death from mosquito-borne diseases.

I disagree. A truly evil person intends the consequences of their evil acts. I doubt that Rachel Carson intended to kill millions of people. In contrast, Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Mao, Castro, Kim, Cromwell, Robespierre, and many others, intended to kill, and they did with evil in their hearts.

In their defense, many of them were dead.

I would put Soros number 1 also. Largely because he is stealth evil. One can see Pol Pot coming, but Soros is a snake in the grass.

Evilest - no such word. If you can’t use proper English then how do you expect anyone to pay any attention to your ideas? The author comes off as an ignoramus from his title

I would have thought Pol Pot would have at least made an honorable mention for exterminating 1/3 of the population of Cambodia.

Then Hitler. It was more like 11 or 12 million who died in his death camps.
More than 50 million people died in WWII. Had there been no Hitler, there would have been no WWII.
I'd also add Pol Pot to this list.

I'm not defending Soros character, but he was only 3 years old when Hitler became Chancelor. He was hardly in a position to be ...The right hand man of Hitler's origination..
