Beautiful on the western slope of Colorado. 35 degrees, sun, going into the 40’s. Going to cut a Christmas tree today.

We are expecting 15 to 20 inches snow with power outage. Our two kerosene heaters are rusty and don’t work.

Any suggestions how we get heat?? All stores are out of heaters. Sister is PANICKED very badly. Driving me nuts. We are elderly. Any suggestion will help.

Must be something evil capitalists caused.

Sunny and 24 degrees here in Maine. This storm is going to completely miss New England.

Blankets and sweaters. Our power was out for 5 days and the temp only went down to 51 in the house. I heated my bedroom with a 3 wick candle. When it got really cold, I used a kerosene lamp.

First of all, while you still have power and light look at the heaters and see if cleaning the orifice would allow one to light. Ventilation is very important with such heaters as well as fueling far away from pilot lights and sources of ignition.

Second, determine a nearby shelter of neighbor you can go to if any outage gets to be too long. You might best be there before travel is too difficult.

Third, if you shelter in place, warm your place now while you still have power and get out lots of warm woolen clothes and blankets. Wool holds warm even if you get it wet.

485 cancels for Charlotte on Sunday, and most overnighting aircraft canceled for tonight,
PSA seems to be taking the brunt of the cancels, with American Mainline running close behind.

I see all these posts that doesn’t give their location.

From those who do it’s apparently only snowing in SC.

The rain just started here in Knoxville Tn, and that's all we are predicted to get over the next couple of days.

The manager at the grocery store said sales for this storm will be bigger than Christmas.

When I went to Kroger a bit ago they were jam packed. I asked an employee "Lots of milk, bread and toilet paper going out the door?" She said "Nah, mostly beer and cigarettes!"

Sun is out here in CNY.

We’ve already had our share of the snow so we’re happy to share the wealth.

Enjoy.
