A government has to have certain powers to do its job of protecting the citizens. Those powers of course can also be used to harm citizens. Without those powers, there is a weak government that will quickly lead to anarchy, invasion by enemies, and takeover.

These are my fears as well. That the deep state has finally gotten it's message through to Donald Trump and everything from this time on is to be choreographed in a way to fool the public.
