Megyn Kelly’s 9 a.m. Today show hour has been canceled, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.
The news comes just 48 hours after she received immense backlash for her controversial remarks about blackface earlier this week.
“They’re contacting the staff and reassigning everyone today. Everyone’s being told that they still have a home here, but it won’t be on Megyn’s show,” one source says. “They haven’t made an official announcement about the show, but everyone knows what it means when they’re being moved somewhere else. The show is clearly over.”
Two additional sources insist that Kelly has not been fired from NBC completely (and she herself has not been told the network’s final decision), but her 9 a.m. show “is most likely over.”

I think this episode does illustrate well how dangerous it is to “stray” even a little bit from political correctness if you work for any Libtard MSM organization (or any Libtard boss, period). Megyn may not have great ratings but while she still has a guaranteed contract it is quite remarkable that NBC would discard her. Most media stories about prominent people “losing” their positions are about shows or contracts not RENEWED into the future. But in this case NBC will eat all of the millions still owed to her (unless they can somehow negotiate her down in a deal to free her from her contract, I suppose).
Dana Loesch was talking about this on talk radio today. Her take is that NBC is full of “mean girls” (and boys), that the atmosphere is very poisonous there and the mean girls like Couric were looking for a reason to get rid of Megyn.
I don’t necessarily like her very much, but she’s likely getting a raw deal from Notably Biased Coverage.

Matt Lauer on the other hand, was a ratings winner, and got away with everything short of murder for years.
She could replace either Chris Wallace or Bret Baer (her co-conspirators at the first debate in 2016) or even Shep Smith. .......They are all liberals with low ratings.
