POTUS & SoS Pompeo are funny. There’s allegedly some tape re journalist & Saudis. Trump defers to Pompeo who says he hasn’t SEEN it. Trump then says he hasn’t SEEN it either, and notes that of course there’s AUDIO too. My interpretation was of course they’ve HEARD the AUDIO which cannot be seen.

Huma had ‘exempted’ status, signed off by the Beast, that allowed her to simultaneously be a government employee (State Dept), a contractor for Teneo, and an employee of the Xlinton Foundation. (quasi-legal)

Huma also, evidently, drew government salary on occasion without taking leave-time (illegal). She stayed at home on ‘maternity’ leave after her boy was born without having telework authorization (at least there has been no public paper trail on that).

GAO report says nearly all new Pentagon weapons can be hacked with ease

I find the GAO report a bit disingenuous in that their protocols are really loose. This report reminds me more of a high school report than an in-depth study. For example look at this:

To identify factors that contribute to the current state of Department of Defense (DOD) weapon systems cybersecurity, we reviewed reports published from 1991 to the present on software, information technology, networking, and weapon systems from the National Research Council, the Defense Science Board, GAO, DOD’s Director of Operational Test and Evaluation, DOD’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the RAND Corporation. To inform our discussion of networking, we also reviewed concepts of operations for selected systems of systems. To determine the extent to which DOD focused on cybersecurity in weapon system acquisitions, we analyzed selected information assurance, acquisition, requirements, and testing policies and guidance.

In other words, they are doing a study of studies, not a fresh look, and incorporating information from 1991 in their report, including the anecdotal reports about easy passwords for example collected over a 27 year span as if the current state of affairs. . . not the state of the art as it exists today.

While some of these reports sound extremely dangerous, they say NOTHING about what steps were taken after these vulnerabilities were FOUND to close them. The report focuses on the TESTING reports, but says absolutely NOTHING about the results after steps were taken to fix the problems that were found and reported. If one were looking to make a report sound as bad as possible, this is the report they'd write. We are talking about 27 years of effort and testing to make the systems secure and the reports of the on-going effort to secure these weapon systems, not the current state of security.

I would have expected to see a report that stated something like the following:

"In 2004, a test of X system found weak passwords allowed the system to be compromised such that an administrator's password could be guessed in under nine seconds. A system was instituted to require strong passwords by all users such that passwords require the use of at least sixteen alphanumeric and symbolic characters."

Instead we have an anecdotal reports sans date which leaves me wondering if that is STILL the case for some critical weapon system. . . and that is a deliberate political decision on the part of the authors of the report. . . yet this report is rife with such anecdotal reporting.

I have no doubt the Bloomberg article is a set-up for something. . . I'm not sure exactly what yet. It reeks of FAKE NEWS with its rank on rank of anonymous sourcing and lack of solid evidence and innuendo about the two largest by market cap companies in the world, Apple and Amazon, and their supply chains—all of which took huge dozens of billions of dollars in investment hits in the past several days and, contrary to conventional wisdom about FED interest rates which were already baked in, caused the sudden drop in the stock market which was said to have been lead by the TECH SECTOR (Apple's supply chain alone got hit for almost $60 billion in lost investment in just two days due to the Bloomberg article, yet they had ZERO to do with the claimed motherboards and, according to Bloomberg, neither Apple nor Amazon ever installed a single one of the compromised servers — so much for comprehension among Wall Street press writers!). Those losses may be the entire reason and someone, somewhere made out like a literal bandit by shorting those stocks. . . but I can't help but think that the real reason was that the Kavanaugh issue had run its course and the Democrats are behind this and the next attack vector is the roaring Trump economy and they are going to spread FUD . . . Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. . . wherever they can. This was just the first salvo in that war.
