I don’t think the “stopping treatment” was McCain’s choice. If he was unconscious and the docs told the family that death was imminent, I think the family would have OK’d pulling the plug (as many families do). So long as Ducey is Governor, he can make the appointment. I don’t think there’s a time limit on him, but with the Kavanaugh confirmation coming up, the Republicans would want someone in McCain’s seat who can cast a vote on that. This confirmation will be a nail-biter. As some have pointed out upthread, a single vote might be the difference between approval, rejection, or a tie. A tie is the Democrats’ and Never Trumpers’ worst case scenario since VP Pence would cast the tie-breaking vote leading to Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Some real high-stakes gamesmanship going on right now.

A few new news stories extending on the NXIVM sex slave cult:

These are from ArtVoice, a blog that is extremely focused on the cult.

The first article with the list and pictures of high ranking members is interesting, and others might be able to draw more connections than I was.
• Aug 24: The top 150 plus remaining High Rank of NXIVM revealed

  The second article is probably the most interesting, as it related directly to the Q story-line of elites being directly connected to sex-slavery and other illegal activity. Of course, most Americans probably assume that the Mexican President (all of them) are connected to the cartels -- but the connection to NXIVM shows it's more than simple drug payoffs going on. (One of the main slavery charges has to do with the cult smuggling one or more women in from Mexico, and they basically holding them as prisoners).

• Aug. 24: Warning: Don’t go back to your home; apologize to Carlos Salinas and tell him you’ll stop writing about him

  This person seems to think that my stories about Carlos Salinas, and his son, Emiliano, – and their potential connection to the drug cartels and the assistance in America that they might be receiving by certain members of the so-called Arizona Mafia – might lead me past a point of no return.

  Others have said the same thing and it is a fact that Jeff Peterson, a former member of the Arizona Mafia, and a well known businessman, believes his life is in danger, has publicly stated it, and says he is in hiding because Carlos Salinas may attempt to assassinate him.

I would consider that a month ago it was (possibly) conveyed that part of his “redemption” or “death with honor” or whatever we want to call it deal was he couldn’t exit until the appointed date and he was allowed the extra fat juicy morphine hospice lolipop at the appointed time.

That ties up Q’s reference to every dog having his day, with McCain checking out or eulogized on that day plus the speed of his exit with respect to the report of “discontinuation” of medical efforts.

You could persuade me that he could have agreed to a deal whereby he sang, said goodbye to his family, “death” arranged and then announced...and then off to Gitmo.

The leg braces (hiding ankle bracelets) changing legs is perhaps a hint that all is not as it seem/s/ed.

He might even be in his cell granted the privilege of watching the praise and adulation for his legacy.... and if this conjecture is true, after some time, very likely he may see from that same cell the turning of his “legacy” into dog poopie.

If he is a prisoner again, for darn sure, my guess is that it would be a much better situation than his previous one as a prisoner.

As it turns out, we may have been better off that McCain selfishly refused to retire at his 80+ age, and ran for another term. If he had retired, we might have gotten stuck with a Jeff Flake/McCain clone, and had to live with that until 2022. Now we have a chance to get someone, even if not MAGA, at least not a Flake or McCain. Of course, we’ll have to see who the Gov appoints, but he wants to be reelected, so I doubt it will be a McCain type.

I think that McCain’s dirt regarding the FISA/UK connection will be revealed. The derps can live with that one. They’ll be all, “blah blah blah he did what he thought was right cause he’s a patriot, blabbety blah”.

But maybe the deal was to not implicate him in all the OTHER even nastier dirt (Syria/Arizona pipeline, etc.). I’d make that deal if I was McScumbag and his derp family. Legacy, and all that.

I agree, we’re seeing quite the chess moves going on with No Name’s parting. IF we are to see some big things like arrests before the mid-terms, I can see where the good guys are setting the optics up so that No Name being a Republican doesn’t hurt them.

Then after the mid-terms, more can be revealed about No Name, perhaps what you posted, they may have negotiated. We do know with the enemedia fawning all over No Name, they can’t take any of that back if big arrests start coming prior to the upcoming elections. It also could be the good guys continuing to set up the enemedia for the big fall when No Name’s corruptions (or negotiated corruptions) are revealed.

Trump needs to ORDER Mueller to not release any information or reports, or initiate any prosecutions, after Labor Day, so as to be in line with DOJ guidelines on influencing elections. That would not be interfering in an investigation, it would impact only the timing. I believe that Mueller specifically intends to do whatever he can in October in order to help the Democrats win Congress, and probably considers that the DOJ guidelines don’t apply to him. In fact, Rosenstein might tell Mueller that it’s ok for him to violate them. So, Trump needs to step in and lay down the law.

Then, after Republicans hold on to the majorities, increasing the Senate Majority in the process, Trump can go ahead and fire Mueller anyway, and tell him to pack up shop. Maybe Rosey, too. Maybe those US attorneys who filed the Cohen case and made up a crime that doesn’t exist. That right there revealed them to be partisan hacks, not professional prosecutors. Then initiate investigations into the Manhattan DA and see what sludge can be found there. I bet there’s lots of federal crimes can be found in that office.

I have a feeling Linda Graham is aware of what they have on Trump; hence him agreeing that Trump can get rid of Mueller after the midterms. That seems to be the plan now. The trick is keeping Mueller from trying to impact the midterms with some BS phony actions before the midterms. I think Trump should order him not to do that. That doesn’t interfere with any investigation; just the timing of announcements.

Then, fire him.

I do hope some big reveal is coming, like the FISA reveal, so it renders Mueller's investigation pointless for all to see. Can't wait to see what big things are coming this week.

You may be correct and they might wait till after the mid-terms. Either way, he needs to be gone and in Gitmo if he's not helping the good guys behind the scenes. I do leave that open as a small possibility where he might be a gray hat.
