Incredibly, they still haven’t been dislodged and replaced with political appointees who, of course, require no Senate confirmation.

ALL political appointees require Senate approval. Read your Constitution. Only civil service and military employees are exempt. She gets a bye because she’s in an “Acting Position” until the permant officer gets approved. Obama had many of his political officers resign early so he could appoint strong supporters from the civil service cadres into “acting positions” while the political officers were hired as civil service bypassing competitive testing in management positions! Unless she does something overtly subordinate personally, she is likely safe BECAUSE she’s a civil servant in her regular position. The Democrats have been slow walking all of Trump’s appointees they can by playing parliamentary games in committees.

Library Of Congress Will No Longer Archive Every Tweet
December 26, 2017

Since 2010, Library of Congress has been archiving every single public tweet: Yours, ours, the president’s.

But today, the institution announced it will no longer archive every one of our status updates, opinion threads, and “big if true”s. As of Jan. 1, the library will only acquire tweets “on a very selective basis.”

The library says it began archiving tweets “for the same reason it collects other materials — to acquire and preserve a record of knowledge and creativity for Congress and the American people.” The archive stretches back to Twitter’s beginning, in 2006.

I haven't formed an opinion yet, on the intended point of Q/s post re: that Q400 theft. My intuition is that there isn;t a point, other than to get the reader to think about it.
