Vanity - Tourists can't even come visit?
08/06/2018 | self

Posted on 08/06/2018 12:31:45 AM PDT by Cementjungle

My friends (a couple) from South Africa have a 2 week visit planned to see me at my place here in Las Vegas. This trip they were planning to bring their good friend, a younger (21 year old) friend of theirs (they're late 20's).

The US denied her tourist visa... without asking any questions. The reason "risk of immigration".

WTF?

A young gal, with a family, friends, job (fitness model) in South Africa can't join her friends in the US for 2 weeks with return ticket in hand? But, anyone waltzing across the Mexican border is in for life no questions asked?

SA is going to be seizing land from white farmers like what happened w/zimbabwe. Many are taking off, but most are still there. I guess it’s hard to believe you’re going to be the victim of a genocide.

If there’s a checkbox on the application for race, be sure they check something other than white and they might be allowed over.

It hardly seems fair that your friend is being denied a visa, given the fact that Obama and Comey allowed one of the FBI's "Most Wanted Terrorists" to visit the U.S. in 2015 — and then apparently gave her safe passage back to Cuba.

show proof of a job, bank account, family, etc. Anything to show she has a reason to return and not stay in the US.

My brother-in-law is from Honduras and it took his nephew (who was a doctor) 10 years of visa applications before he was finally awarded one to come to the U.S. to visit............and it took all of the above that you mentioned as well as proof of a credit card to get it. (this was back in the 1990's.....)

It depends. I've seen mixed cases myself. Some times it depends on flight risk. Often, a fully trained professional can be declined for what appears to be no reason, but the fear that they may try to stay and work here. I wish I could pinpoint exactly why I've seen so many friends declined. Seriously.

Although I do know one case where a friend was declined but someone in their family had violated the law and eventually become a resident. In that case there was an established history and I can see where they would think the person would try the same thing.

Unfortunately if she is White and not a dependent who would sign up for every welfare program in the USA, she is going to have a hard time. President Trump isn’t really in control of much of the deep state government and they would much rather admit illiterate, no skills, permanent Democrat voters.

IMO, this country needs more whites. Period.

The SA Christian white farmer families being automatically divested of their property and then slaughtered like prey by the muslim black majorities won't get refugee status in the U.S. until all of the Obama judges and appointees in govt and their cheering sections in the media have been flushed down the toilet. I'm not holding my breath. Two years into this administration and the turds haven't yet started even circumnavigating the bowl. It's still only blacks, browns, and aztecans with their gold necklaces, cutesy hairdos, packs of anchor baby children and pockets full of U.S. taxpayer's cash getting the nod. Truly disgusting on a biblical scale.

They were denied by Obama holdovers because they’re white...

If they were black they would be here already.

“A young gal, with a... job (fitness model) in South Africa...”

Not to seem insensitive, but I AM a dirty old man...but how can we judge if she’s worthy without a picture, considering she’s a fitness model?

(Just kidding...no picture please. Don’t want to reveal identities.)

You know that, INS doesn’t know that. South Africa is in turmoil and they ARE more likely to want to get out permanently.

On the bright side, it means we have an immigration system that can screen out undesirables - as long as Leftist politicians are not allowed to override it with special directives and backdoors for their future voters.

Actually, the USA treats legitimate foreign visitors worse than any other country I have visited. It’s disgraceful.

That’s because more than 75 million legal foreign ‘visitors’ enter the US each year and no one keeps track of whether they leave in a timely manner. I doubt any other country has such a record.

Let them go to Mexico first. Seems anyone from Mexico can get in.

That is what one young girl did after her visa expired. Being from South Africa THE GIRL COULD NOT REGISTER AS A REFUGEE BECAUSE SHE’S WHITE.

The same crap is going on with the "refugees" from the middle east; almost all are Muslim and Christians are arbitrarily denied.

Twenty million Mexican illegals is just fine... because when they vote illegally it’s for democrats.

Three people from South Africa? If they became ‘illegals’ they might vote Republican.

THAT’S the difference.

Oh, and the people in South Africa REALLY ARE IN DANGER OF BEING MURDERED. Unlike the liars from ‘South of the Border’... who are not in danger of anything larger than poverty, criminal activity caused by their corrupt leaders, and a lack of welfare benefits...

"The reason "risk of immigration"."

This tells you all you need to know about the situation in South Africa. It spells out that the US Government and probably every other Western Government is well aware of what's going on there and are deliberately keeping it quiet. Australia already withdrew an offer to take in white farmers from there and of course the pressitutes haven't whispered a word about it.

Unfortunately, this is quite normal. This is most likely a denial under INA section 214(b) and can be described as a failure to overcome the presumption of immigrant intent.

To summarize what is going on here, for any visa application (except for H1B and immigrant visas, maybe some others), the law is written in such a way that consular officers MUST assume that the application has "immigrant intent", e.g. they are intending to live in the USA permanently. YOU as the visa applicant have the burden to convince the interviewer that you are indeed intending to return to your country of origin.

Now, this burden is notoriously hard for young, unattached, marriage-age women to overcome, as they can simply get married on a tourist visa and become immediately eligible for adjustment of status to Permanent Resident (Green Card)...and this happens quite often. Some things that can work, are (as you already mentioned) having a job, home, car, and other attachments to your country.

The good news that a denial under 214(b) is not permanent and a previous denial doesn't influence future applications (although there are usually no grounds for appeal...you usually have to submit a new application).

If you want to help, the best thing that you can do is to contact your Congressman or Senator's office, and politely ask the staffer for a "letter of introduction" for your friend. This letter will simply be just that, a letter of introduction, and a statement that the Congressman/Senator is "interested" in the outcome of the case. It cannot directly order a result, but if everything else is in order, the interest of a member of Congress can often be enough to tip the application onto the "accept" side.
