Where does all the magma come from?

Read a plausible story that said the hotspot that formed all the Hawaiian islands was all that was left of a crash interstellar craft, the core of the power source that was moderated by pressure, and quite dense, dense enough to burn through the earth's crust and float at the top of the mantle, where the pressure turned it on, and it locally dumps the equivalent of the energy sufficient to move something the size of the Empire State building between stars in a reasonable timeframe.

I wish I could find it, I think it was a 'Science Fact' article in Analog.

Scientists believe it’s pumping out about 100 cubic meters per second — which is the equivalent of about 26,000 U.S. gallons per second or enough to fill 12 commercial dump trucks per second!!

Volcanic eruptions basically cause longer term atmospheric cooling, due to blocking sunlight with particles (smoke). Lava flows cause short term atmospheric warming as their heat escapes, but underwater lava flows can cause ocean warming where heat can be retained for very long periods. Human study of the climate is a joke. Like watching Ants comprehend that big foot like shadow that just appeared. Oh, and every volcanic eruption is unique. IOW - we will never comprehend it all.

Fortunately, this eruption doesn’t seem to be as “smoky” as some of the “bad” ones.

CAGW “research” has been a great disappointment in terms of value supplied for all of the gov’t $$$$ wasted. They have yet to develop a “Science (which I tend to define as better than 1% of point prediction of future system behavior)” of the Climate and likely never will.

Won’t these lava flows make the sea rise?

I understand that Rep. Hank Johnson voiced his concern that all this new lava at one end of the island would cause it to flip over!

Tell Genius Hank that it’s more like super or gorilla glue to keep the Big Island stuck to the sea floor so it won’t float away.

Well, the air quality on the other side of the island sucks, so it is smoky enough. Sulphur Dioxide makes for some nasty vog.

I’m sure that it’s nasty on the Island, it’s just that it’s fortunately not going to have a big effect globally.

What would the CAGW Academics have to do if we got another 1816 Year without a Summer?

Consider that the lava is above them, flowing over the earlier stuff piled up on the road, and more than 10’ above them.

Yes the speed of the lava flow in that second video is jaw dropping. The reporter-ette even made a point of saying the video was unaltered. Unbelievable!
