Nearly 2 in 3 Americans think the nations economy is in good shape, and most of them believe Presidents Trumps policies are at least somewhat responsible for that. More Republicans rate the economy positively than do Democrats.
As Congressional primaries continue and Americans look ahead six months to their midterm votes, Mr. Trump looks like a positive factor among Republicans, 7 in 10 of whom say theyd prefer a candidate he backs but the presidents influence is limited to his own party. More Independents say theyre less likely to support a candidate backed by Mr. Trump.
Meanwhile on the Democratic side, Sen. Bernie Sanders carries more positive influence with both Democratic voters and independents than does Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. More than half of Democrats say theyd be more likely to vote for a candidate endorsed by Sanders, while a majority of Democrats say a Pelosi endorsement wouldnt affect their vote. Nearly half of independents say knowing a candidate was backed by Pelosi would make them less likely to back that candidate themselves. [ ]
Americans give Mr. Trump mixed marks on his approach to negotiations and deal making so far. More than half have not much or no confidence in his handling of issues with North Korea and Iran. A slim majority say his approach to China has been about right.

Lol, of course we should believe exactly what a CBS News poll says about Trump's support among independents.
I’m an Independent and will vote for any candidate who Trump supports.
By “independent”, they really mean CPUSA/SPUSA members rather than actual independents.
Wow, after 16 months of intense, lying hatred spewed by virtually every MSM personality and outlet.
Mixed reviews on NK? Jump the gun much? The NK issue has not yet really reached the “Gentlemen, start your engines,” phase. The time for reviews will be months/years from now, when the peninsula is free of all nukes and fissible material.
I dont believe their Norks poll.
Must be discouraging for CBS after its 24/7 smear campaign
NK is unfinished business.
That’s very good news. If CBS publishes more positives about the Trump Administration, I’ll have a look at the CBS site once in a while.
:-O
I do not remember the media EVER doing polls to see if people were giving Obama credit for anything. Oh, there was nothing good to take credit for. My bad.
