German Jews turned their weapons in as dutiful German Citizens. Then came the Holocaust.

Any thinking person knows and understands that it is impossible to enslave a people without first disarming them.

That is just not going to happen in this country. One of the great things about having a lot of immigrants is that a reasonable percentage of them have experienced totalitarianism of one flavor or another first hand. Those people will act as our living canaries in the coal mine, and not let the rest of us make the same mistakes that people in their countries did decades earlier.

My own family’s experience backs this up. Even though my ancestors came to this country before 1925, enough of my distant relatives who were left overseas were victimized by German or Soviet totalitarianism that I might as well have experienced what these people did first hand. There is no way that any law banning guns is going to be obeyed by me. Any such law will, the moment it is signed, make me an outlaw. I will proudly wear that badge, and hope to do a lot more than merely that.

Take away the guns and The People cannot say ‘NO’ anymore to tyrants.

All tyrants take away The Peoples guns (its a historic fact).

Its becoming more clear every day to most sane Americans that it will be far simpler to BAN LEFTISTS.

This exactly what gun control is about—aspirations of tyranny.

Far more people are killed by drunk drivers, reckless drivers, and distracted drivers looking at their cell phones. But we don’t hear calls to ban alcohol, cars, or cell phones. Why? Because those things are not the problem. Guns are treated differently by the left.

But gun ownership serves several important purposes:

2. self-defense and crime prevention

1. readiness for war and (last but certainly not least) the prevention of tyranny

We could have several shootings like the ones in Sante Fe and Florida EVERY DAY and still not come close to the destruction of gun-grabbing tyrants which is a proven, demonstrable, historical fact.

Thank God Hillary is not POTUS. With her in the White House in the wake of these school shootings the Second Amendment would be long gone and by executive orders and a packed Supreme Court the confiscation of guns would already be started as would armed resistance.

I am willing to think that most of them figure doing to confiscation orders on people, one at a time. Who would notice?

Exactly. Once guns are registered, they will be banned. Using the registration info, the govt will know who hasn't turned them in. They'll just issue a bench warrant for your arrest. Next time a trooper runs your tag, it's jail time. Having someone else pick you off is safer and, as you said, using constant onesey-twosey arrests, it won't be a big deal.
