When I listened to it on Youtube it was distinctly ‘Laurel.’
On the TV is was ‘yanny.’ Weird phenomenon.

I’ve always been a great walker, since childhood. I like to just walk and think, walk over fields, through woods, along streams. But when I became enamored of birds, I realized that I had always been looking DOWN when I walked; and as a birdwatcher, I began always looking UP, into the sky and the high boughs of trees.

I heard someone on the TV tonight say that it sounded differently if they heard it through speakers, or through headphones. Apparently the frequencies are modulated variously depending on the gizmo through which you are listening.

I suppose. I don’t have headphones myself. It was ‘Laurel’ on my tiny computer speakers and ‘yanny’ on my bigscreen TV speakers.

It kind of underscores the fact that nearly everything we experience are just perceptions of phenomena interpreted by our brains.

We have only heard it on the TV and haven’t experimented. It’s always sounded like ‘Yanny’, as we’ve heard it.

(While this may be a ‘neurological/brain’ thing, I’m not sure that we interpret everything through our ‘brains’. Some people think that ‘mind’ is not the same as ‘brain’...)

That is why I said “nearly” everything. I am certain that mind exists apart from the brain. To me the brain is just the GUI between mind and the physical body.

I agree. Brain must be a ‘receiver’ of Mind.

If we take ‘The Lord Our God, The Lord Is One’ as true, then Mind must be everywhere and infinite; and we humans partake of MIND in our microcosmic way.

Perhaps I should have said that the manifest universe, and all of its LIFE, in its various, microcosmic ways, partakes of that infinite Mind - because I don’t think even the animals or anything else manifest can exist apart from the One Mind...

I certainly agree with that. It gets a little complicated for a mere human being to contemplate.
What with all the distractions the brain manufactures, much of it biological noise the body sends the brain demanding this and that.

Which reminds me, I have all the makings for BLTs tonight and the hunger to make it seem very important. :)
