She is leaning toward Air Force. I heard it’s harder to get in now but she’s an honor student and squeaky clean so maybe not for her.

I really hammered it into the kids about not enlisting until someone better than The Won is in office. Cowardly? Maybe. If Trump stays for eight years and no war in Syria(I think something else is going on maybe just wishful thinking)maybe.

If she decides to do it she’s going to have to get in shape or she’ll get recycled. We aren’t the healthiest family so she may not even pass the physical.

I am comfortably well off. I’ve never had cable.

I’m not criticizing anyone who does and pays for it. But I don’t see why my taxes should subsidize such a luxury for someone else.

My personal feeling about English proficiency is it is impacted greatly by what you hear all day. A child growing up in literate family is miles ahead even if they forget how to diagram a sentence. The constructions are just 2nd nature. Literature and literary criticism all depend on how you read and if you’re lucky enough to be around people who not only read, but discuss the work in deeper terms than plot outlines.

My fairy tales, for example, came from my mother’s college text in Norse mythology. My father loved science-fiction and allowed me to read anything I wanted from an early age. This was a great advantage when I went to school. I should add, an advantage academically. Socially, not so much.

She is leaning toward Air Force.

A relative of mine got to experience a bit of the USAF and USN as well as the Army (long story). He'd probably put the Army at the bottom, but a female can make the right Army MOS a decent career.

Have her check out the Coast Guard before she commits.

NIKK-LOL Don't you love how the clowns are so totally out of the loop and they have to peek through tree branches. Their 4 am talking points must have been sparse this morning.

Anyone have a guess who this gop congressman is? Or if you think this article is made up?

It sounds to me like someone is afraid of having his dirty laundry exposed when Trump cleans house. I find it difficult to believe that anyone in congress (well, maybe Maxine Waters and the Guam guy) could be this blind to what is going on.
