If they’re white, he’ll tell them they can either pay $12, or they can pay $30 — two and a half times the base price, which reflects the wealth disparity in New Orleans. He tells them the profits will be redistributed to people of color, but not as charity — just to any minority customers of his who want it, regardless of their income or circumstance.
“When I tell black folks what’s happening, 90 percent of them start laughing, like, ‘For real?’ They’re tickled,” he said. “White folks, there’s this blank — ” he paused and laughed, “— this blank look. They’re like, ‘Huh, okay.’”

I’d be afraid to eat food prepared by such a racist. No telling what he’d put in it or do to it to get even with the white ‘debbles’.
As a white man, I would politely pay for whatever drinks I may have consumed and walk out of the restaurant.
I understand this is a “social experiment,” but I’m not a willing guinea pig.
I think that would be an incredible experiment. I would wager that none of the whites would laugh or get “tickled”, they would probably get worried or thoughtful, wondering what the lawsuit will look like.
The blacks would destroy the restaurant.
Whats new about this? There have been “Affirmative action bake sales”, where people were charged according to their victim status for cookies and cupcakes. The coloreds raised hell about it. This is the exact same thing.
Definitely “racial discrimination”.
Better yet, boycott the bastard until he goes out of business.

Take it to the bank that this “chef” currently has either zero or minimal white customers and is doing this solely for publicity.

Here’s another experiment, talk to my lawyer.
He gives white people a choice as to how much they will pay for a meal, but for non-whites he dictates the price of a meal.
Someone should file a federal civil rights law-suit against him...

Doesn’t our government already do that with it’s “redistributivre rights” via taxes,welfare, free college, and affirmative action?
Restaurants have a razor thin profit margin. Sounds like a great way to lose it all.

discrimination based on color is against the law and someone should sue this person. Why isn’t anyone suggesting that? Certainly if a white owner overcharged blacks then there would be a tremendous cry..
