She does laundry
And we have a maid come 1 x per week
Two boys + friends. Chaos mostly
People who are happy are more likely to clean house. Depressed people generally aren’t that energetic.
If you enjoy cleaning your house you obviously have an appreciation for the little things in life like hot water, indoor plumbing, they finally got your order right at the drive through....
IMO, the key to happiness is being able to be thankful for what you have.
So many people are not.
I tend to agree - my cleaning lady does seem quite happy.
I have always differentiated between “clean” and “cluttered”. I insist that the house be kept clean and I fully participate in that endeavor. (I was down on my hands and knees wiping crumbs off the kitchen floor just last night.)
However, clutter does not bother me. Cleanliness and neatness are two different issues, in my mind.
No wonder Mary our cleaning lady is so nice and happy. Don’t go too crazy. She only comes twice a month to do the deep clean. My wife and I do daily cleanup.

Yep. I never thought I’d use a mop, but with my crazy schedule I figure that a mopped floor is better than a floor that is waiting for time to be scrubbed.
I was a cleaning lady in college, I got my fill of scrubbing floors on my hands and knees.
Thank God for Swiffer Wet Jet. If I had to get down on my hands and knees these days, I'd never be able to get back up again.

We have a Roomba named Mildred that does a fabulous job of keeping our floors clean and she also forces us to keep things picked up off the floor so she can do her job.
She's better than a therapist.

I am literally married to Mrs. Clean, and I doubt these findings.
She might be happier on the inside, but she mostly seems to fret over the stuff still needing attention.
