As I understand it, the core accusation that led to the firing of Andrew McCabe is that McCabe misled investigators about giving information to a former Wall Street Journal reporter regarding the investigation of Hillary Clinton and the Clinton family’s charitable foundation. In his post-firing statement, McCabe asserted that he not only had authority to “share” that information with the media, but did so with the knowledge of “the director.” The FBI director at the time was James Comey.

That's a good summation. I also think the Cabal stretches wider with Clinton and Soros. This was and still is a coup and treason. History tells us those guilty of such heinous crimes were punished severely and that included ample amount of physical pain and ruin. Too bad we are "civilized" and have the LMAO "rule of law".

McCabe was to resigns effective 01-29-18. A few days later, Feb 8, 2018, Comey upped the release date of his book. I think he thought he was home free if McCabe was out.

Some things can become simple when we don’t let our emotions run things.
That FBI agreement could put a lot of them out on the streets as ex FBI ers. Then, some of the really bad ones can be sent to trial based on their documented actions and that agreement signed by them.

He has to explain to victims and zealous cops/asst DA, that they really have no hard evidence for the crimes they want the bad guys punished for.
However, if the goal is to get the bad guys off the street and in jail, they need to go the Capone/Income Tax evasion road map. Try and jail them for a lesser offense that is often a slam dunk where the guilty ones plead guilty to avoid a messy trial that open up more bad news.
This FBI oath if violated could clear the streets of these thugs and put them in jail if used properly.
