Our lovely, good twelve year old boxer dog MOLLY died this morning in our living room. It was not a complete surprise.As I truly said to Molly this morning, “Go ahead sweetie, you can go…….. it seems like the time ……good for you and good for God. No time to lose.”

She died about 30 seconds after I said that to her. Mary and I wept some …….. held her paws with love …… and wished my nephew David were here with a beer or two.

Molly was a complete sweetheart ……. and forget about the God messages. Molly was clued into God before she was created . We all were.....and we all are.

Molly had God in her eyes. All dogs do. We all do. Let it show…..

Molly, on her last night on this earth, tired and weary as she was for about ten days ………. walked into my bedroom from the living room at 7:30 p.m .………. her too-long toenails clicking on the hardwood floors as she purposefully proceeded ……….. she made the turn into my room …… as I only heard her, but, Mary actually was fortunate enough to see Molly come into my room.

Molly hadn’t made that move to my room until after midnight for months ……. but just last night ……. she entered very much earlier, five hours earlier. I don’t wonder why.

‘Goodbye‘ ……. is a difficult sentiment for man or beast. Molly the pooch made it easy.

Mary (my wife) and I lived with this darling Molly for many years …….. now let’s all be just a little humble ……. and suggest that we all know absolutely NOTHING about God.

Bless all who deserve to be blessed and who are good to others WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING ……… and to those who love the ones who deserve love ….. (even a baserunner for your favorite team who gets thrown out on an attempted steal of third base with nobody out in a tied game in the last of the ninth!)

Molly was a female boxer dog living on a secluded four acre suburban piece of property with lots of deer outside of Pittsburgh. She had the good life. She enjoyed chasing the deer off our property, yet to my knowledge ...... never ran one down.

Gog bless her............ she seemed to just want to run them off her territory.

I miss my little Molly.

Very sorry on the loss of your pet. It hurts just as bad as when we lose a beloved human friend or family member.

We have lost 3 of our old ones in the past two years. Absolutely tears your heart apart. I know many FReepers beloveds have welcomed Molly over that rainbow bridge.

I am so sorry for your loss but I am so glad you could be there with Molly when the time arrived.   That is a blessing.

My wife and I probably will not follow very far behind you. Our loving Boxer, Boz, is on his bed asleep behind me as I type. The past few months I have been taking him outside for walks because his arthritis keeps him from using his doggy door to walk down the steps into the backyard.

I am struggling to keep my composure just thinking what you must be going through. Your hearts are breaking now but will soon be filled again with loving and happy memories.

I’m glad Molly went peacefully. Mine didn’t. He was sick for a year before I had to give him up. The pain gets easier but never goes away. I’m glad Molly went on her terms. I can tell she was loved.

When and if your poochie gets sick ......... touch him/her very softly and SLOWLY down their vertebrae.

I don't mean to suggest I know much................ considering my poochie just passed away. All I know is that she had little pain ..... and symmetric touching is good for anyone.
