How about putting on some headphones and shutting your pie hole for 40 min.?

My, my my!
Such hostility!
Keep this up and Father O'Blivion will have no choice.
Your sausage patty and pancakes will be redistributed.
Nanook has been waiting for this!
I need to get this on vinyl. I’ve got “Sleep Dirt” and “Joe’s Garage” on vinyl because I used to have them when I was a kid, but “Apostrophe” was a little before my time.
I’ve always thought this was his best record.
Apostrophe’ is fantastic. I lost all my ripped CDs collection when my old iPhone 6Plus started acting up and I had to reset it as a new phone to see if it would work better after that. (It didn’t). I recently took the plunge and subscribed to Apple Music so I can listen to stuff when I’m not listening to my load of conservative podcasts, and I just upgraded to the 8 Plus yesterday and can’t be happier with Siri integrated with and Apple Music subscription. I’ve been playing with the new phone and while walking home last night I asked Siri, “Shuffle all frank Zappa songs”, and I was soon very pleased. Funny thing is Siri interprets the word “apostrphe” as the grammatical mark, so I couldn’t ask for that one specifically. I have to look into how to Siri works in that sense.
OK, so this was much more of an iPhone comment than a Zappa comment, but I am super happy to get my Zappa library back via Apple Music. I’m listening to Willie The Pimp at the moment. ;)
Apostrophe and Overnight Sensation are two of my more fav Frank albums.
Freak Out was my first exposure to Zappa in the 1960s. I got in at the beginning. Hot Rats was the first album where Frank really broke out in a big way with his soloing on Willie the Pimp.
I always thought Apostrophe was yet another milestone in his guitar playing as well as getting public exposure on the radio. Zappa’s guitar work on Nanook rubs it is stellar. He must have had the treble on 15.
I saw FZ when he and the band were touring behind this albums release. Wonderful stuff.
The crux of the biscuit!
What’s the ugliest part of your body
What’s the ugliest part of your body
Some say your nose
Some say your toes
But I think it’s your mind
I think it’s your mind
This HAS to be the disease for you!
I remember this.
Yes, Apostrophe. That would be the crux of the biscuit.
Awesome, thanks!
,,,,,,,,, the crux of the biscuit !
Gotta love Zappa. I’ve been listening to him since I was 13 or 14. One of my first albums was Apostrophe.
I’ll have to sit down with some +i++ies and beer and give it a listen again.
At St Alphonso’s pancake breakfast, where I stole the margarine. At least that’s the way I remember it. And stay away from the yellow snow.
Who you jivin’ with that Cosmik Debris?
Freak Out is still my favorite Zappa album (More Trouble Every Day still rings true after all these decades). Apostrophe and Over-Nite Sensation would be my second and third favorites. Saw him perform three times between 1978-1983; truly memorable experiences.
It is a shame he passed away so young. Popular culture and politics would have provided him with a lot of material for song writing.
