I need to get this on vinyl. I’ve got “Sleep Dirt” and “Joe’s Garage” on vinyl because I used to have them when I was a kid, but “Apostrophe” was a little before my time.
Joe’s Garage was my entry point.
Sleep Dirt was maybe 7 in.
Strictly Genteel.
{{{How old are you?}}}
I'm so old that I first heard Zappa in my college dorm room
in the Fall of '66 just a few months after the album
"Freak Out!" was released.
This album came out right as I got to Berlin for my assignment in the Army. Our poor squad leader would just nod as four of us could sing? the lyrics for this and Overnight Sensation verbatim. When One Size Fits All came out he shut us down.
Saw Zappa twice while in Berlin at the Deutschlandhalle. He was great, and the Germans loved him.
