I was listening to Glenn Beck this morning and he was very angry about the report of what president Trump said about Haiti. He was carrying on his loud voiced self-righteous monologue and he said this is the same is saying I do not want that boat of Jews from that Nazi country. The people from Haiti are the same as you and me. They are just people that want to escape the country that their government is made for them. I WANT those people here! Mr. President, for the love of God, please shut up!"

Again, if Beck feels such a kinship with them, the right thing to do would be for him to move to Haiti rather than bringing Haitians here.
I hope Trump keeps it up so that Beck will finally lose it and retire to his safe space forever.

Culture does matter. And it is not easily changed for the better in countries that have never known better.
That’s why successful cultures, such as our Western culture, are so valuable and need to be so carefully nurtured and cherished.
Haitians live in the society they create, the culture they create, with all the qualities and defects that correspond to their personal and national character. Just like any other nation and people.
Haiti is the Haitians, and the Haitians are Haiti.
If you bring a few here, they assimilate and add their personal qualities to the rest of us. If you bring a million of them here, they bring Haiti.
That’s the problem. Nothing against Haitians as individuals. Bring a few, and you are bringing individuals. Bring a million, and they bring with them the very thing they are fleeing.
Immigration policy should serve the interests of citizens. It seems impossible to get that through people’s heads once they have taken up residence in Washington DC.
State the reasons why Haitian immigrants are good for the country they immigrate to.
