Rep. Devin Nunes announced late Wednesday that his panel, the House Intelligence Committee, appears to have reached an agreement with the Justice Department to gain access to all documents and witnesses it sought by a deadline at the end of the day.
After speaking to Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein this evening, I believe the House Intelligence Committee has reached an agreement with the Department of Justice that will provide the committee with access to all the documents and witnesses we have requested, Nunes, R-Calif., said in a brief statement. The committee looks forward to receiving access to the documents over the coming days.

After they’ve been carefully redacted.
Someone is going to jail. I bet yesterday’s conversation between Rosenstein, Wray and Ryan was to select that lucky individual.
My bet is it will be Wasserman Schultz’s Pakistani server guy. And of course he will commit suicide prior to being sentenced.
I doubt he will even live to see a trial.
If there is a trial, he won't say so much as a peep.
Really?
Nunes announced late Wednesday that his panel, the House Intelligence Committee, appears to have reached an agreement with the Justice Department ...
Appears to??? Appears to??? Nunes isn't even sure of what he got if anything.
Nunes goes on: The committee looks forward to receiving access to the documents over the coming days.
Coming days??? Say what? That really nails it down. How many days??
The original deadline was 08/24/2017 and the DOJ and FBI ignored the committee. Then, a new line in the sand was drawn (01/03/2018). And now that has passed and still nothing. Well okay, maybe in the coming days. Hey Nunes, again I ask, how many days?
Republican congressmen rolled again.
Anyone surprised?
All these people trying to protect Hillary ... I wonder how long it will be before they decide to offer her up on a silver platter?
Did he leave the country.... or is he the one they caught in the airport?
Anything that they haven’t shredded.
Don’t hold your breath on this...
I posted this before so forgive a repeat if you are already aware, or seen this before.
De Santis is on that Nunes committee. De Santis appeared on LOU DOBBS yesterday evening, (although the program was recorded earlier in the day, probably before the FBI visit with Ryan).
He said that the Committee was considering a Contempt Citation with teeth if the FBI did not cooperate, and one that required a vote to “detain and jail” Rubenstein and Wray, in the House JAIL. (I didn’t know they had one.)
De Santis said that type of contempt citation was used by, I believe he said 150 years by the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, and that the Congress learned with Lois Lerner that the ordinary issue of a contempt citation and referral for her prosecution was a joke to Eric Holder, who smirked and shelved the referral.
He also said that a couple of days in the House jail would cause immediate compliance.
Hours later, you have the FBI delivering the damned goods at the stoke of the deadline, reportedly.
Nice, huh? Hardball is apparently no longer out of the equation for the usually noisy but willy nilly congressional oversight committee.
Thus Session’s announcement to re-open the investigation.
Now unredact them, or go to jail!
Congress has given up its prosecution of contempt of Congress. It now just refers action to the DOJ as a misdemeanor. It needs to regain its own enforcement ability,
Read it again: “over the next few days”. That ain’t hardball.
This is election year. Anything that might hurt Democrats will come early.
Why? The little $h!t can just stay in Pahk-e-stahn like Osama did (and probably still does).
So far, Rep. Devin Nunes is the only one who has shown any substance in all this. I am so used to Congress critters pounding the table in front of FOX news bloviating about how they are going to get to the bottom of something... right until the cameras are turned off and then they go to their bipartisan cocktail party later that evening.
Is Nunes the real deal? Jury is still out, but it looks promising at this point.
All these people trying to protect Hillary ... I wonder how long it will be before they decide to offer her up on a silver platter?
Exactly. Not everyone will continue to cover for her. Throw Obama in there with Hillary.
Unless there’s a fire at Hillary’s storage house.
