Here’s a link, and of course it applies to landlords. If you want to get rid of a pit bull in the neighborhood, find the insurance company. Make some calls. Notice the part about “fraud” in the last sentence of the article behind the following link.
Are pit bulls costing your clients their homeowners insurance?

Also, check case law in your state. Is your state letting pit bull owners get away without paying enough for damages? Talk to your legislators.
There is always an insurance policy if you can afford the premium. I own a couple German Sheppards and was turned down for home owner insurance by one company and I have a chain linked fence home, in the country.
I doubt you’d get more than the keys to his brother in law’s trailer, and the title to that Camaro out back with no wheels or engine.
Btw, if those are inches, which I believe they are, this guy is only 5'5". This might explain him having the pits.
The dogs owner was already in jail for domestic violence and an outstanding warrant. He is probably not going to have two nickels to rub together or homeowners insurance.
Pit bull owners tend to be judgment proof. Doubtful if they have any homeowners insurance or care about premiums that they don’t pay anyway
The only place you should be able to see Pitbull is in a zoo.
On going for walks,... Some jurisdictions are against allowing concealed or open carry and use anti-American ways of keeping residents disarmed (solicited gossip, harassment, confiscation,...). For people in such jurisdictions that do allow for carrying pepper spray, there’s a pepper spray called “Wildfire 18%” in a 4 oz. can. It says that the range is “15-18 feet” (tiny, narrow stream). It’s low cost, too. It’s easiest to get a holster for carrying the stuff, when weather doesn’t allow for a heavy coat with large pockets.
Don’t get the spray for dogs or bears. The pepper spray for use against attacking humans is much stronger.
Most pit bulls are never mean, until they’re mean.
And a bounty for reporting a single incident of unrestrained pit bulls, whether it be because of them digging under a fence or just running loose.
I can't completely disagree with you, but man, them's fightin' words!!
All ‘dogs’ are wolves. From Chihuahuas to Great Danes, all dogs have identical DNA with wolves, so essentially, no ‘pit bull’ DNA needs to be ‘saved’..................
Thanks for the information. I was unaware so many insurance companies will not insure homes because of dog breed. I like the idea. If the pit bull owner puts insurance companies at higher risk, they need to pay more.
“Every pit bull owner is a criminal.”
You paint with an overly broad brush.
I know a man who breeds and sells pits.
He is very cautious about which male he uses to breed his females. If a particular dog doesn’t have enough background info it never sees one of his females.
Every dog he sells is well trained and very obedient.
He never sells a dog under one year old so he can judge it’s nature and determine If it is wise to sell it.
He currently has two dogs that will never be sold because he has concerns about them. One is 4 years old, the other is around 10 years old.
If you want one of his dogs you have to submit to a background check. A DUI is enough to drop you from the list. If you aren’t responsible enough to drive without drinking you aren’t responsible enough to own a pit.
He calls the Sheriff dept in your county. All the counties know him and gladly take his calls.
Calls to the Sheriff for domestic disputes, quarrels with neighbors, anyone in the house having drugs or a drinking problem get you off his list.
All dogs are neutered before they are offered for sale.
He has now started making owners come to his place for training on how to handle the dog. It isn’t a one trip session. Five half day sessions which include everyone in the household. If you have a baby or infant they have to be there as well. The dog has to become accustomed to the child and the owners need to correctly interpret the dogs actions/reactions.
You flunk his training you do NOT get a dog.
He told me if he didn’t add to his waiting list it would take 8-9 years to clear the list.
There are good and responsible breeders out there but you have to hunt for them.
Part of the breeding/selling process is getting the right dog to the right person.
Too many breeders just want fast cash.
Bear spray is the highest pain causing agent, can be stronger than level 3 human spray.
Bear 1-2% measured as major capsacinoids
Level III 1-1.33%
Level II 0.5- 1
Dog 0.35-1
Level I 0.5
I grew up on a farm. ANY dog that did such things would be shot IMMEDIATLEY, by the owner or neighbors. And we as neighbors to one another knew we were authorized to do so to ANY dog with such disposition.
Yeah. People are blinded by normalcy bias. The drug dealers, felons, criminal class, illegal aliens, Muslim extremists (aka 80%), welfare bums, are all not following the middle class while rules of personal responsibility and normal behavior. They (shitheads) are kept in check via the thought of their next free lunch. When they don’t get it they will take yours and anything else they want over your dead body. Better pray they get their next free lunch Or pray your aim is true and that your ready for their crap.
