During his lecture at the hermitage, Longhi recounted a conversation he had with the John Paul II in March 1993, in which the pope warned him about a disturbing vision he had about the future of Europe.
"The Pope told me: 'Tell this to those whom you will meet in the Church of the third millennium. I see the Church afflicted by a mortal wound. More profound, more painful than those of this millennium,' referring to Communism and Nazi totalitarianism. 'It is called Islamism. They will invade Europe. I have seen the hordes come from the West to the East,' and then told to me each country one by one: from Morocco to Libya to Egypt, and so on till the East," Longhi recalled, as reported by The Catholic Herald.
"The Holy Father added: 'They will invade Europe, Europe will be like a basement, old relics, shadows, cobwebs. Family heirlooms. You, the Church of the third millennium, must contain the invasion. Not with armies, armies will not be enough, but with your faith, lived with integrity," the priest added.

80 Years Ago, Hilaire Belloc Predicted Radical Islams Re-Emergence Because Of Secularization
British writer Hilaire Belloc, writing in the 1930s, put no date on Islams re-emergence. But while the Wests attention was elsewhere, he predicted its inevitability:
Millions of modern people . . . have forgotten all about Islam. They have never come in contact with it. They take for granted that it is decaying, and that, anyway, it is just a foreign religion which will not concern them. It is, as a fact, the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilization has had, and may at any moment become as large a menace in the future as it has been in the past.
The Great and Enduring Heresy of Mohammed was one of seven essays in his The Great Heresies. He wrote from the standpoint of an historian and Catholic apologist examining the effects of the great heresies of the past (i.e. Arianism, Albigensianism) on the Western world. In these days of white-glove ecumenism and interfaith dialogue, Bellocs pre-conciliar disdain for non-Catholic religions has eclipsed his once-eminent status as one of the most accomplished men of letters in early twentieth century England.
Catholics themselves are uneasy quoting Belloc these days. And that is too bad. His insight into Islam at a time England was preoccupiedwith Hitler, communism abroad, and a fascist movement at homewas exceptional. And penetrating.
Per the article:
Islam will not lose because it has not suffered the Wests spiritual decline: And in the contrast between the religious certitudes still strong throughout the Mohammedan world . . . particularly in Palestinelies our peril. Decades later, prominent Pakistani jurist and scholar Mahmood Ahad Ghazi said much the same:
Islam is the most dynamic force today because, unlike other major religions, it hasnt succumbed to secularism. It doesnt divide human life between the religious and the secular, the spiritual and the totality of human existence. Only Islam is the route to victory.
Belloc saw Islam as less a new religion than a heresy that selected among Christian doctrines. He ascribes its perdurance and vitality, in part, to the fact that, unlike previous heresies, it was sui generis.
However much it borrowed from the surrounding Christendom, it did not arise within it. It was a distortion but never a defection from any Western reality.
Didn’t all the Islamic countries align with Hitler?
Have a wonderful, safe trip . . . please say a prayer for me!
The protestant reformation split the church into splinters and fragments. Protestant lands have lost their faith and are ripe for conversion back to the mother church (orthodox or catholic) or for conquest by islam.
Himmler asked the Reich Security Head Office to find out which passages of the Quran provide Muslims with the basis for the opinion that the Führer has already been forecast in the Quran and that he has been authorized to complete the work of the Prophet.
Ernst Kaltenbrunner of the Head Office replied with the disappointing news that the Koran had no suitable passages for such a claim, but he suggested that Hitler might be advertised as the returned Isa (Jesus), who is forecast in the Quran and who, similar to the figure of the Knight George, defeats the giant and Jew-King Dajjal at the end of the world.
Ultimately, the office printed one million copies of an Arabic-language pamphlet that sought to persuade Muslim Arabs to ally with Germany:
"O Arabs, do you see that the time of the Dajjal has come? Do you recognize him, the fat, curly-haired Jew who deceives and rules the whole world and who steals the land of the Arabs? O Arabs, do you know the servant of God? He [Hitler] has already appeared in the world and already turned his lance against the Dajjal and his allies . He will kill the Dajjal, as it is written, destroy his places and cast his allies into hell."
Such propaganda may seem absurd today, writes David Motadel in his comprehensive and discerning history, Islam and Nazi Germanys War . And yet one need only review the awkward, cartoonish texts of American propaganda pamphlets dropped on Afghanistan before the US-led invasion of that country in 2001 or the similarly naive pamphlets dropped on Iraq before the US-led invasion to oust Saddam Hussein in 2003 to recognize that the history of ill-considered Western hypotheses about how to mobilize or co-opt Muslim populations during expeditionary warfare is a long one.

Oops, I should let you know that I prayed for you to have a safe journey and a fruitful pilgrimage.
I was there when John Paul visited Living History Farms back in the 1970s...
What we are ALL seeing today is the vacuum being filled by the same Satan that hinted we didn't need religion in the first place, and stupid people bought in to that.
As a Baptist, we reared our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord and WE have stayed true to the scriptures and church attendance.
Our children however, once of age decided they didn't need church or bible reading and all the et cetera's.
They're not evil, but they ARE more liberal than what I'd like them to be.
Satan is a strong adversary.
Wow!
Amen!
I have believed that for years.
It fits perfectly.
Thank you for those quotes.
Prayers up.
Yes, t&r, have a safe trip, and, please, say a prayer for me and for our president.
“The Great and Enduring Heresy of Mohammad...”
I bought this book when I was outraged that Bush referred to Islam as a religion of peace. Belloc was indeed a prophet and ought to be taught in Catholic high schools; at minimum it belongs in all home schools at the upper levels.
It sure does. And more so every day as history unfolds.
Thank you. In New Mexico now. Just visited Christ in the Desert Monastery. What a Spirit filled place.
Something tells me this "vision" is about as legit as George Washington's "vision" about the civil rights movement.
So did Nostradamus. I see a trend here.
When you really understand and experience Christ’s Consciousness, you realize that Love is more powerful than an anatomic bomb.
Not saying I am there. But I get tastes of His Bliss.
