1. Why didn’t they have a control group of fat Puerto Ricans who used no mouth wash at all?

2. It’s my understanding that, in just minutes after using mouth wash, your mouth is filled back up with replacements for the critters you killed.

3. As an aside, whiteners are put into toothpaste to give you that bright smile you see in the morning mirror. But by the time you get to work, your teeth brightness is right back to where it was.

My older kids and I have started using charcoal toothpaste. I bought it solely because it’s glycerin free, not for the charcoal, but hope I never have to go without it.

The stuff is amazing. Teeth feel cleaner after just a day, and get better with each use. I splurged on the polishing powder and adding that in has helped even more.

My teenager was talking about how much he likes it and then said that he’d never seen my teeth so white. Makes me cringe at just how bad my teeth must have looked before.

“your mouth is filled back up with replacements for the critters you killed...”

Mouth fills up with critters the mouthwash didn’t kill. The good guys are killed off and the bad guys take over.

Certain bacteria groups that process dietary nitrates into nitric oxide that relaxes blood vessels are killed off by mouthwash, and your blood pressure goes up.

Other bacteria process gluten in the mouth. Kill these off with a strong mouthwash and you can get a leaky gut with gluten intolerance.
