Direct result of the Obama administration preventing schools from expelling students.
Now they just keep them in school where they can create chaos and threaten teachers. Not fair to the kids actually there to learn. Certainly not fair to the teachers.
But it’s ‘racist’ to suggest otherwise.

I've had a student physically restraining me in front of my other students,' Dang, must've been one heck of a big first grader!
You sure it wasn't an Oompa Loompa?

1st grader restraining a teacher?.........LOL!
Article sounds like a desperate plea for a salary increase.........After all, pay raises cure all classroom complaints by teachers.

In a sane world the teacher could use corporal punishment.
Failing that the miscreants could be expelled.
But neither option is available to those teachers.

Just curious, isn't that the Amish section of Pennsylvania? You know, near Lancaster and all that. I thought I saw it on a Hallmark movie once.
Then again, I could be mistaken. /s

If I were a teacher, and a little snot hit me in any way, they’d be headed face-first out the nearest window.
I remember first grade almost 40 years ago, we had one little jerk whom the teacher couldn’t control. He’d jump on desks and peed in the trashcan. A real sweetheart. THAT was considered shocking and unacceptable back then.

Nothing new here..., just far more prevalent! I remember my oldest Daughter's best friend graduating with an Elementary Ed speciality at the same time my Daughter became a biologist. The friend was extremely mild-mannered and meek... She was hired as a 3rd grade teacher in an "At-Risk" school... 3 months into her new career, a very disruptive young female student declared "My Daddy gotta gun and Ima agonna kill you!" Soon after, she decided that she needed a new career path!!! This was in 1974!!! God knows what teachers endure today!

Primary school classrooms have never in my lifetime had so many in-class assistants and helpers as they do nowadays, and yet more primary schools than ever are so poor in achievement and have so many problems.
In my day if a kid was disruptive in class they were sent home and got disciplined at home as well. Their parents didn’t get to make excuses for them and even “home life” problems were no excuse and were a problem parents had to solve or see their kid not allowed back in class. And primary school teachers ran the show with no “teachers assistants” in the classroom.

In many countries Education is considered a privilege and disruptive elements are expelled on the spot. But not in the US, liberal programs designed to dumb down the population so they are more easily controlled is the rule of the day.
